I want to see Lawrence Dallagio commentate on a England V Italy game he'd spend all his time arguing with himself and it would be the only time he's ever had both eyes open.

Think they will top the pool, then there is a nice run to a Aus vs NZ final.

Dum dum dum charge for Hooper.
Saw that penalty coming a mile away.
Bad penalty to give away under no pressure in the England 22

The hope was we'd have the edge in the lineout but we've made no inroads there.

I fear we all can...
Going out in the group stage is becoming an English tradition : football , cricket , and now rugby.

Re: England vs Australia, 3 October
In the Scotland game, the commentators mentioned that no team has ever come back from 14pts down at halftime in the world cups.
And the commentators just said that England have never done it in a test match.

Joseph without Ford lacks incisiveness, it's neither one thing or another.

Du Plessis got binned earlier for a much more timid shoulder hit than that. Hooper lucky there.

I did not expect England to be thios far behind at half time.
But to be honest Foley and Beal are just cutting us too bits.

Re: England vs Australia, 3 October
If England want to play with this cavalier philosophy, it's all very commendable, but it also means that Care, Ford and Burgess should be on the pitch!
Any chance of variety in attack?
Australia are so clinical in attack, and so neat at the breakdown.
40 minutes to save yourself, Lancaster!

Looked timid only because Du plesis cant arrive at the breakdown at the same velocity of Hooper.

Aus are allowed to to hang around on the wrong side of the breakdown to slow our ball. Ben Young's needs to shout more at the ref

Agree with every word of that.
If Farrell comes out for the second half we've lost. He's been diabolical. We're making great breaks on first phase set plays but as soon as we get to their 22 it's stodgy predicable crash ball and we get turned over. Farrell has gone missing outside of first phase.
Ben Youngs is our only creative player and our only chance of scoring a try outside of frist phase ball.

The real difference is the Turnovers and those two f ups from brown. That and foley is having a blinder. But without scrum dominance it's a long way back.

Anyone remember the England-South Africa game last year?
England had the same deficit, roughly, at the break, but Morgan rolled in two quick tries to level it up.
We'll ignore what happened after, of course...
