Needs to sharpen his game. Reconsider his kicking from hand (not referring to the charge down but his cross kicking 'attack' plays).
He is a ball in hand player and understanding how best to exploit that game will determine his future.
Great shame the moment we bring on an attacking IC that we take off our attacking ball in hand 10.
Ultimately Farrells game will not unlock SH defences.
Ultimately though Fords game is so iffy I have palpatations every time he gets the ball. His decision making looks poor or totally lacking in confidence what to do.
Farrell is solid and in games like this id prefer that for the moment.

LOL what has rugby become? you can bet your house this wouldn't even have been checked by the TMO if it was an English fool play. Brown got let off for foot in the face area and now this?

Not one mention of Marler punching Evans, yet a penalty and the threat of more for what looked accidental by Francis.

Hartley should of been carded in the earlier phase, that was blatant in from the side.Pot Hale wrote:Naughty boy Cole but he can't complain.
Doesn't matter now though, Wales have been awful over all, England are deserved winners, best of luck to them for the Grand Slam. No issues with Joubert for me, this wasn't a game decided by a referee, it was one team dominating another. At least that makes a change.
At least we got a consolation try, 2 more tries in 6 minutes is too much I think.

Agree its a form thing and yes we should have the point of difference from Farrell on the bench.

Fuming, webbs passing is perfect and straight from the ruck. Should have been on sooner! Gives us space in the backline

Well done England. Triple Crown Winners.
Now all we need is for France to put 20 points on Scotland tomorrow to make the final round match interesting.

Please don't let that final what 5 minutes and the scoreline gloss over what was a shockingly poor performance for us for 70 odd minutes.
Something still needs to be done to our backroom staff.

Just need to congratulate the better team over the course of the game. Wales are developing a habit of doing little for most of the game and trying to explode inside 20 minutes to win.
Didn't work today, we didn't commit enough players to the rucks at times, our tackling and man marking was woeful on occasion.
Mike Brown and the England number 4, were outstanding today.

Congrats England. Well deserved. Big questions have to be asked about our coaching team after that, that should've been asked before today.

Must have been some seriously nervous English fans at the end there.
Good luck England and I hope you now win the slam.

Well played England, excellent first half, but slacked off tremendously towards the end. A shame Wales didn't join in sooner, otherwise it could have been a great game.
Still think England will find it tough to win the slam - one amazing French performance at this Six Nations has yet to be delivered.

Real exciting finish. Think Joubert dealt with the potential reckless 'eye contact' fairly well - it was a tough call (I don't think it was intentional but potentially dangerous/reckless).
Hopefully this serves as a lesson for England though to be more positive. Tries are decisive. They should have gone for the try instead of kicking at least a couple of those 2nd half penalties. Great kicking performance from Farrell nevertheless and beastly outing from Itoje too!

Agreed somewhat, Wales played better when they got the dreadful Gatland gameplan out of their mindset.
