Which ones does Trump need to cover up his? Obama had 8 years to build up a few winks and nods in the background - you think he's above a nod and a wink in a proverbial 'dark alley'?

Trump isn't even in office yet and you boys are gloating about the Impeachment coming. There's Fear in the air and it isn't just in America that I scent it. There is more to the world wide repudiation of Trump by the establishment press and chat merchants than a few comments from him about Mexicans and illegal immigrants. The Mockingbird tweets again.

I don't see any impeachment...I see a Ulysses Grant or Eisenhower administration where the cabinet pull the strings while he is out playing golf..

Trump will soon be bored like the Emperor Tiberius and a Sejanus figure will do his job probably Priebus.

If the economy gets better he may seek re-election.

Those expecting fireworks or change will be disappointed.

Well when you are the first President-eleect in US history to refuse to publish your tax returns.....suspicions are always going to arise. Especially given the birther fuss he made over Obama.

Nice that you mention it - saves me having to. You of course heard about the most recent forensic findings about that thing on the President's site that calls itself his birth certificate? You heard about it? Of course you did, it was all over the BBC, CNN and European official networks Wink

Even more reason to lament how pitiful the Democratic candidate was...(The champion of Women that accepted 25 million from Saudi Arabia)...

That he could say he loved grabbing Women by their puss**s and he still got 41 percent of them to vote for him...

It was angry white men that cost her the election though apparently..

No, I don't, but you conflate everything to be the BBC if you want. The fact that you think that's funny tells me all I need to know. It's that sort of infantilising narrative that's led us to where we currently are - it's the BBC therefore it must be nonsense. Confirmation bias at its worse - so-and-so says something I don't like, therefore it's not true.

Be happy you have Trump and not a GOP nut like Cruz..Because the GOP own Congress and will soon own the Supreme Court.

A war mongering one per center could do a lot of damage with the state of Washington.

Trump hasn't got any ideology he is interested in Trump.

Cruz has ideology and mixed with real power that is dangerous ...Especially to things like Roe v Wade..

Last time we had GOP houses and a GOP President for any length of time was in the 20s and we ended up with the 18th amendment till 1933..

Cruz.... oh God, still not on about him? A nose as long as the caricature Nixon's was. No - much too smoove a character for my liking. But why do guys like that attract voters? They've been doing it for centuries. Guys that you wouldn't exactly want for a next door neighbour, they end up being your local politician.

Bernie's next door neighbours are more my kind of people - honest, decent, hard working, blue collar workers with salt-of-the-earth smiles and willing to mow your lawn for you when you're away getting groceries at the nearest foodbank.

Yup, that's at least one positive I guess. Sad that the other alternative GOPs seem to be universally thought to be so scary.

Labour are expecting to lose the Copeland by election.

An opposition losing a safe seat to the incumbent Tories who are struggling with looking competent.

Britain needs an opposition party..Ridiculous.

Extremely rare for oppo parties to lose by-elections. Have a sneaking feeling Labour will just edge Tories out of Copeland and UKIP out of Stoke (with Tory splitting 'that' vote a little).

Corbyn will laud it as some kind of triumph and endorsement of his mandate.

Tories should take a risk and not field in Stoke. Let UKIP wipe Labour out. Labour losing a seat is bigger than Tories coming a closer second/third.

Stoke was heavily Brexit..So you would think if UKIP can't win there against the Labour shower..

They are finished..

Tough one for May and the Tories..Corbyn is their greatest asset.

Wipe outs lead to consequences.

Not sure about the SNP wanting a referendum anytime soon......

WST Poll....Scottish independence Yes/No

June 2016.....................Yes 47%..............No 41%..

Nov 2016......................Yes 38%.............No 49%..

Obviously pollsters aren't in vogue.....But it will be concerning.

May 2016................SNP 51%....Con 19%...Lab 15%.........

Jan 2017................SNP 45%....Con 24%...Lab 14%.........

The Tories are profiting from a decline in support for the SNP.....

Labour 3rd party in Scotland now by a good margin it seems..

Labour lose Copeland to tories.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39064149

Hold Stoke but smaller majority and loss of vote share - UKIP/Tory split here.

Corbin has to just go, first time in 35 years a sitting government has won a seat in a by election apparently. First time anyone but Labour has held that seat.

The Tories keep walking face first into every door they can find.

And Labour still lose a seat they've held for over half a century to them.

Don't see how Corbyn and supporters can keep justifying this is a movement that most people are interested in.

I think we can all breathe a sigh of relief that Nuttall didn't make it.

BBC comparing May to John Major???

I listened to her - and in her determined 'I'll do it my way' attitude and in not being afraid to take the Conservatives away from their comfort zone in appealing to the very people Labour usually cling to...I'm afraid she's more Teresa Trump.

Come on now, there's no denying it.  She's gaining brazen strength - Angela will find she hasn't got a ...em...p-ussy...to deal with when those Brexit negotiations start.

So we have a Conservative government that is running the NHS into the ground (through austerity rather than ideology), huge uncertainty over the economy and Brexit and a relatively charismaless leader. And they are able to pick up seats in by-elections.

I saw a comment elsewhere that asked: Is Jeremy Corbyn the best Leader of the Opposition any Prime Minister has been blessed with?

Quite like May in many ways. Not a politician in the (recently) trendy Blairite mould i.e. someone who might actually merit being PM. Don't agree with all she says, but she seems calm, considered and she's at least experienced in politics. Everything that a-hole in the White House isn't, for example.

Her lies are more dangerous for us though . She's a lunatic that isn't contained by such a robust opposition as the American constitution. From trying to target the children of illegals, mass deporting of Indian students guilty or no. Her mein kampf speech to the tory party conference and then her repeated lies depending on who the audience is. She's solid in that she doesn't have the slick salesman like delivery ala Blair or Cameron. But she's just as much of a liar and more dangerous than either to us.

'Experienced in politics' is what the world needs less of. Drain that damn swamp. Wink Politicians worldwide have given us the mess that the a-hole had an easy time mocking to get himself in. And no, in her dressing down of the police when she was Home Secretary... that was teeth and attitude not calm and considered.

Drain that swamp, and fill it with far-right news-station owners and billionaire oil executives.
