I honestly think we might not see Jamie Vardy at all this tournament. Or if we do, it'll be in the 83rd minute when England are losing 2-0 in the knockouts.

England out of the group stages again?
I wouldn't even fancy them against Slovakia to be honest.

A crucial 15 minutes of Roy Hodgson's England career coming up.
Sterling, Rooney and Kane have been woeful. Can Roy elicit some positive change/does he have the balls to do something?

Re: Euro 2016 Discussion
Guess that was inevitable. Can't fiddle around for forty minutes not scoring without a risk the opponents will take their one chance.
Can't say Wales deserved to score - but England rather deserved to to get caught.
Might wake them up ? Otherwise probably going home early...

Has to be a change at half time

England are still in this if they lose, by the way, but a victory over Slovakia will be mandatory.
Wales should back themselves to marmalade England on the counter.

Vardy on for Rooney, Wilshere on for Sterling and go for the diamond.
Not that it will happen!

Have to laugh when a stiff like Joe Harte is deemed a 'world class goalkeeper' when he's no more than very average. Wouldn't even get into Germany's squad....

Sturridge and Barkley on I think.
England sucker punched at the end of the half by some pretty poor goalkeeping. Don't know if Hart got done by the swerve

Re: Euro 2016 Discussion
Apart from the score that was a pretty horrible half of football. England apparently incapable of anything but hoping to score from a set piece , and Wales seemed happy to sit back and wait for a lucky break (fair enough I suppose , the draw would suit them) - but it didn't make for much of a spectacle.
At least now England are behind they will have to have a real go. Sturridge on perhaps ?

Re: Euro 2016 Discussion
What's all this rubbish by supposed 'expert' pundits about how England have dominated and controlled this match?
They've been handled easily by a (mostly) organised Welsh defence, and have created little of note (though England should have had a penalty).

Re: Euro 2016 Discussion
Sturridge and Vardy on, Hodgson is going for it.
Sterling and Kane off.
Think that's a sensible change, Kane has been poor. Sterling shouldn't start again.
Hopefully the pace will be upped now.

Re: Euro 2016 Discussion
Yeh why not sit back Hammersmith...
England don't even look dangerous from set pieces half time! They are toothless in attack...two up top may not be ideal but its far better than playing an out of form sterling who gives teams Jack all to worry about.
Rooney is useless as a central midfielder, gives up the ball too often both via poor passing and just dithering on the ball. He's being shown up here.
As for Roy having the balls to do something, he had the opportunity before the tournament...drop Rooney...play the two of the in form strikers in the whole of Europe with a lively young midfield. Instead he chose to shoehorn rooney in a man who hasn't had a good international tournament in 12 years (he is the lampard/gerrard of this generation(...play an out of form winger..and use Alli one of the most exciting players last season in a deeper position than that which allowed him to become that exciting talent.
A lot of people on here really do let passion and national pride get in the way, because for all the intelligent conversation most put out every week when it comes to club football, plenty make some unbelievably odd predicitons/analysis when it comes to the England team.
I mean...the term sucker punched has just been used..that suggest's England are unlucky to go behind? Why are we? We have created very little...look lethargic/static in the final 3rd...present no penetration when we get into Wales half...and the goal came from a cheap fould by Rooney (he wasn;t the first to do it...plenty gave away needless free kicks in that first half)
I look forward to seeing us tear them apart in the second half..

Think that's unfair on Gerrard who was generally always one of England's better players at international tournaments.rooney in a man who hasn't had a good international tournament in 12 years (he is the lampard/gerrard of this generation
