Enthralling 3-0 win on the cards then
As long as Scotland had the 3 I'd be delighted with that!

The amount of times I scream RESTARTS!!!! when watching Scottish teams play is ridiculous.
Don't worry. Restart specialist Ryan Wilson is starting.

What do the Norwegians know about weather eh!

Well it's pretty nice, warm and sunny in Edinburgh at the moment, albeit windy and changeable.
My hunch is that the weather will make little difference to the outcome of this evenings match or the game tomorrow!!

Well it's absolutely p!ssing it down in Newport at the moment. Fine in Glasgow just now but then starts p!ssing down there when I arrive this evening.
Or maybe there's just a wee cloud above my head all day today.

Around 90% of their GDP is based on their ability to accurately predict the weather. They're pretty good.
I find the BBC generally say "there will be weather". Which is generally true for Scotland but not all that useful.

Poite as ref - who will that favour?
IIRC he is fairly lax with people going for turnovers and tends to call Play if the ball is at the back of a scrum and it goes down?

Kenny Logan is backing Scotland to win and so am I.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2017/02/03/scotland-have-best-team-since-1999-will-beat-ireland-saturday/
I think Scotland will destroy Ireland's lineout and the Scotland pack will step it up for 80 minutes and pile pressure on Ireland. Finn Russell will star and Scotland will get a narrow win.

Yeah but saying that this is Scotland's best team since 1999 is shaded slightly by the fact that this is the best Irish squad in a very long time. Well that's how I'm holding on to my optimism. It won't be easy tomorrow but I do think there will be daylight between the sides on the 80 minute mark in Ireland's favour. Irish arrogance?

Arrogance in sport is a good thing. If you say you are going to lose all the time you will lose all the time.
Its Ireland's best squad but possibly not our best team. It will be an interesting tussle.

Looking forward to seeing Russell. Best Scotland OH since Gregor Tooooonsend. There have been a lot of really sh1t ones in fairness. Brendan Lainey was the worst six nations player of all time.

No optimism from the scotland fans please chaps!
Without our first choice props we could be in trouble in the scrums and I doubt we will do much to their lineout. Turnovers at the rucks will be the critical thing I think

Also worth pointing out that saying this is the best Scottish squad since 1999 is a pretty low bar.

Just read an interesting fact
Francois Pienaar earned 29 international caps, all of them as captain.
So who else has captained their international team on their very first cap?

AAAHHHH!!!!
I am in total 100% free falling panic about tomorrow.
For the first time in forever we are all pretty much agreed that the team picked is the best possible in terms of form and injury. We have an excellent coach and we're playing at home.
It can't be that simple can it?
Fecc, we're doomed, doooomed I say.

It can be that simple. Great chance for Scotland tomorrow. Seems like it's going to be a heavy collisoner game with no quarter given. If the Scots get themselves ahead, then home advantage willing them on and their own confidence will make it a tough day for Ireland to get back.

Anyone else watching the woman's opener? Scotland leading 15-10 at half time, 2 try's each.

I'm afraid the weather has indeed bought a ticket to the game, Gwlad. And I think it'll be wearing 6 degrees and a good chance of rain.

Heartbreak for Scotland ladies. Ireland ladies score in the 82 minute to win 15-22. Must say I thought Scotland were the better team.
Scotland ladies, 2 try's, 1 conversion and a penalty. Missed 2 penalties...
Ireland Ladies, 4 try's and 1 conversion.

3-0 Ireland so far!
Munster beat Edinburgh by a point
Ireland under 20s win by a point
Ireland ladies win thanks to an 83rd minute try
It all points to tomorrow being very close!
