Not too bad Rick. I've got a horde of tennis players from NZ arriving tomorrow. They'll be out practising at the Olympic Tennis Centre.
No tournament - they are just here acclimatising. I had to warn the coach that it's going to be 37 degs on Saturday... they won't know what's hit them. You get dehydrated very quickly when you aren't under shade in that sort of heat.

Afternoon all - it wasn't me with that arrow in Dundee. I was using a trebuchet in Perth that day.

Trebuchets are my favourite siege weapon. I used them extensively in Age of Empires II when I led the Britons to glorious and brutal victory over every nation dumb enough to cross me. I saw a real working one at Warwick Castle and read that, a few months later, their ancient rowing shed had been destroyed by a missile fired by the same one. I've seen a reconstructed one at Corfe Castle as well but it wasn't working. If there's anything you need to know about trebuchets don't bother PMing me as I don't know anything else about them.

They had a medieval jousting tournament here on the weekend. It was a very popular event which drew about 15,000 spectators... however I think most were there for the medieval fast food on offer. They had a trebuchet hurling watermelons... for safety reasons of course.

Good news here. One tennis kid (Anton) won both Junior Singles & Doubles with another kid (Tom) staying here. The other 3 went OK.
He was seeded 9th coming into it but cleaned up all before him. He didn't lose a set. I watched the final this morning... he hits the ball so hard.
One to watch in the future perhaps?
