Mine's around £292m, without checking if they've been updated and without the youth squad. Still, bottom end.

Full squad value is £301.5m with £4m cash.
Also I have a lot of worthless (in TM terms only ) young players

Would it not be worthwhile based on the budgets to turn it into a fifa league using these squads, both Markys and Tinos squads would actually be the strongest for fifa whilst mine probably the weakest but the value of our squads should then allow us to even out over the season.

Can you really turn that around in a week?
Can you commit to running the fixtures every week and inputting everyone's formation and players?
Surely something similar but online would be better? Like https://www.leaguesimulator.eu/football

Re: Challenge League Homepage IV
I think the most important part is that it is a computer generated result. Whether that is FIFA or another website probably doesn’t matter as long as they are factoring in how good the player is IRL at that point of time and not at a fixed point in past. So for example, someone like Paulinho is judged on his form for Barca not when he was in China.

Has to be the latest fifa because we are judging our results by latest happenings and form and not on past glories.

Re: Challenge League Homepage IV
Just had the CPU have a game of my team v West Ham.
My team won 5-0 with goals from Depay, Asensio, Dembele, Solanke and Under. Was good to see a few goals as that was something I hesitant over as previously they'd often been 0-0s.
I'll add in someone else's team now and simulate a few games.

If you have the difficulty higher the AI controlled teams will be better.

Thought they would be. I just think if they were on Semi Pro they would be more inclined to play out a dull 0-0

2nd leg v West Ham finished 2-0, Asensio and Milinkovic-Savic scoring. Only 1 yellow card and 1 injury in the 2 games so may look at tweaking that.

My team might be more middle of the road in terms of fifa and values if you wanted to add mine and see what results happened.

Good to hear you’re on the mend Miky
Question on FIFA - how up to date does it keep on ratings. So for example, say Giroud suddenly goes on a goal scoring streak between now and the end of the season, does that have an impact or does it stay at the rating at the time the game was released?

On career mode their ratings reflect how they are in the pretend season, but exhibition games the player ratings fluctuate on form.

How about feedback ie knowing where games were won and lost so you know where to work on improving?

If it's anything like how I trialed it last time I streamed it so you would be able to watch the game back. you'd also see each players ratings.

Sounds positive.
How much work to set up and how much work for you each week? Can it be shared around a bit?

The main bit would be the initial set up of the teams, what I thought would be to base it in the Australian league and just dump all the players already there into free agents so it makes it easier to move players about.
I already made template tactic lists from when we considered it a year ago so can just check through them to make ensure nothing has changed and then each week it'd just be altering each teams tactics which should be really quick and then streaming the games.

Yeah that is an issue in that it does subs automatically without any choice in it. I'd say it's a minor issue though, they do replace like for like position wise.

Silver lining to that is that it would encourage building squad depth. Imagine spunking all your money on Messi and then he gets injured to be replaced by Albert Adomah.

Re: Challenge League Homepage IV
Found another issue so need people's thoughts.
There's a small amount of players that aren't available due to the teams available in Fifa. It's mainly players that have fecked off to China such as Gervinho but there's also going to a few youth players. The youth players I'm not concerned over as I think it's still fine for people to buy and sell them as by the time any of them eventually make it into a team on here then fifa 19 will be out and they'll probably be included anyway.
My thought on the ones like Gervinho though is that the owners of affected players simply get a 100% cash value on them.

Done 4 teams so far.
Mine, Miky, Olly and Afro.
Overall scores for the first elevens based on what people have picked recently on their team sheets:
239 - mine
246 - Miky
241 - Olly
240 - Afro
Afro would be a lot higher if he changed formation to 4 at the back but Konate with a rating of 67 drags his down.
Olly should put Kolasinc (81) instead of Jorge (74).

Re: Challenge League Homepage IV
Do mine please.
I was thinking along the lines of players not being available when I tried to look up Arthur Melo. Cheap South American league talent would be a problem as I thought they would be rated higher in Fifa. As it happens there aren't any Brazilian leagues.
Therefore keep it to European leagues only? I think getting cash value for those outside of that would be very fair, considering I would imagine most teams with those players would jump on a chance of a lawyers

Yeah, my recent first XIs isn’t really a reflection of my side and also reckon I could bump it up with the £93m I have in the bank!

Done 6 of the 10 teams on Fifa now. The teams that include which club the players are at in real life are certainly quicker to do! (hint hint if people could add in parent clubs)

I assume we are saying we will try the FIFA route for definite, given the time and work that has gone into it.

Right, lets scrap the last games of season 1, seems no-one cares enough about them now anyway so whatever.
As for Fifa, if it works out fine then we can trial it for season 2 BUT i want it to be tried and tested before we ACTUALLY use it, im not using something thats broken and if that means an extra few days/week to get everything sorted then so be it. In terms of cap, no cap at all as im pretty sure the majority voted for that the other week.

Right then, some test fixtures are called for.
Who’s willing to do some tactics for a test game. The more the better.
I’ll do some.

If that’s realistic for set-up on fifa then I reckon we should.
Season starts 3rd April, tactics on 6th.
Subject to the test working okay of course.
