Just ran a quick season of it using the 7 teams above through the tournament option and simmed all games (played each team twice).
Trebs team won on 25 points, 6 ahead of Afro.

Right, so we have me, marky, Hero, Miky, Nando and Olly.
Someone PM me the list of managers numbered 1 to 7, someone else send me the numbers as a draw eg 1 v 2, 3 v 4 etc.

Re: Challenge League Homepage IV
I'm sorry but I'm against this. I think the main league should be done as a tactics and teams as standard because that's what we've set up our squads to do.
I like the idea of fifa but there needs to be a reboot for this IMO.

I don't really see what the issue is tbh. We have set-up our squads based on what we think different people's opinions are. Now we have to do it based on FIFA opinion (rating) only. It would be no different to having a new manager with different opinions.
You'd also hope that our opinions aren't a million miles away from FIFAs anyway. It also removes the risk of tactical voting or unconscious bias (against players/real life teams mainly, but potentially against managers too)

Well I wouldn't have released Zlatan the other day if we were doing fifa style next season.
The only way you can do it properly is by starting out with this intention, and by pricing players based on fifa rating.
I'm happy for it to be a side cup competition as a trial to use beyond season 2, but not to replace the league.

Hero, I know you posted the link to the tactics page you set up which lists all the possible options but can you do a new post that condenses it down to what you actually need for tactics.
For those that don't play Fifa.
I said about you releasing Zlatan to hero when we were discussing it over weekend. He isn't that good in Fifa apparently though.

Zlatan is an absolute monster on fifa. He's 87 rated, wins every header and is a general beast.

He's still probably a mid 80s rated player without checking, in an auto sim game that will make a difference

I think we are all sensible enough to say that anyone wanted to unreleased someone or reverse a lawyers acceptance from the last week or so, then they could. There's bound to be downsides, but nothing insurmountable.
Don't agree on the pricing. It's no different to how it is now, and real life isn't like that. Using your Ibra example, United signed him for free remember

I also don't get the need for a different price engine for FIFA, if anything using FIFA actually makes it better for managers that don't stockmarket as the kids aren't as good in the game.
Ibra may be a beast in the air, but his speed is turgid.

Where was the link to the tactics required? If I'm setting up for Zlatan, I'd be putting maximum crosses in, he'll get on the end of something

Defend him with 1 tall CB on him and 1 quick CB in support.
Highish line. Challenge the header, tbh let him win as many headers as he likes from just outside the 18 yard box and make sure you win the second ball

In fairness, there are a hell of a lot of player instructions on FIFA, but I just think it would be too much work for Hero/whoever to input them uniquely for every single player

In regards to your query regarding defensive line:
https://www.606v2.com/t59841-tactic-options
They're the standard options regarding overall tactics, you can though if you wish do a custom tactics by adding a number from 0-100 for each of these:
Build Up Play
Speed
Passing
Positioning
Chance Creation
Passing
Crossing
Shooting
Positioning
Defence
Pressure
Aggression
Team Width
Defender Line (Cover or offside trap)

Honestly it really doesn't take long to do it!
I already set up (with Nando and Miky's help) every permutation of formation with the options every player can have to make it easy for people to write their tactics each week, all I'd need is people to complete something similar to this:

Just putting this out there as suggestions for the trial..
Is it worth having 3 people vote as normal on the teams and FIFA tactics too? Then we can see just how far off our predictions the FIFA results would be.
Could also sim each game 3 times to get a best of 3 scenario

I don't really see the players issue, Fifa isn't the complete pace abuse game it used to be and ultimately good players on there are good players when just voting too

Re: Challenge League Homepage IV
For me the positives of it vastly outweigh the negatives.
+ No bias on results
+ A set template for tactics
+ Ratings for every player after each game
+ No need to vote on games each week
+ Actually get to watch the games (if you wish)
- Some players not in league (small number of S.American and ones in Chinese league)
- Subs are automatically done

Re: Challenge League Homepage IV
Trebs, Ibra is not going to be the be all and end all.
The way Hero put it into points is correct at the end of the day. We need something fresh as people were not happy with doing tactics again.
Twist I would quite happily do tactics again personally but you have to remember there are some veteran league goers that have been writing tactics for years and probably find it dull, the majority I saw wanted fifa so we will trial it and hey, if it goes wrong we will just revert, honestly give it a shot I think you guys will be pleasantly surprised.

Buffon
Kompany
Barzagli
Pepe
Dani Alves
Iniesta
Sneijder
Filipe Luis
Robben
Zlatan
Ribery
I've just come up with that pretty quickly. They'd all be dirt cheap and that would be a pretty insane fifa team.
The pricing has to be consistent with fifa ratings or it's a nonsense.

the way I see it is, a quality player as per Fifa's standards, SHOULD be judged as a quality player on this league anyway, playing it through FIFA shouldn't really be any different....FIFA doing the results does knock out the dodgier results - Trebe himself questioned Marky's integrity just last week, this rules that out

I guess the issue would be something like this scenario (again, I do see Trebs point)
https://www.futhead.com/compare/citp704y18citp311y18/
Ribery - 86
Reus - 86
On TM - Ribery costs £4.5m, Reus is a lot more

I know. But fifa is big on the legacy ratings.
Pepe, ribery and Zlatan would be laughed at if they're played with normal tactics. On fifa they'd be class.

Perhaps that's a good thing that the bias isn't swayed totally on some 16 year old kid who's played 2 games (for which I'm one of the most guilty parties). And that in doing so it makes managers such as myself have to decide whether to keep buying all the kids to make profit or to target the actual good fifa players. Because at present it's just a win/win for me, I'm getting the kids and winning with them.

I'm going to step out in that case.
Wish you all luck with the league but I think it's wrong to completely change the structure of a league mid-cycle. I'm all for tweaking rules but this is too far.
