Best TV Cameo (or guest appearance)
Culture Cup v3 - Round Two (Best TV Cameo) - Voting Closes Wednesday
Wow, what a rush! A whole round has been smashed through at breakneck speed, and to the victor the spoils. Coming away with a patented Culture Cup Round Winner's Trophy, Mr rick_dagless (as his parents named him) has set the pace for our 2018 competition.
But from the wonders of on-screen romances, we head now to cameos (and guest appearances) on the smaller screen, that of the television. The rules were for the person to have appeared in no more than two episodes of any series, but I have not myself checked these all to have been correct. It will be up to the voters to decide if they appreciate these as guest picks and cameos - the public will always be our judge and jury.
So, as ever, please vote for TWO of the options in Best TV Cameo.

Went for Rik Mayall, then I went for a dump. Would have gone for a Chinese too but I was exhausted.

so basically this culture cup is turning into "the Simpsons cup". if we were doing a michael jackson cameo, the one in south park is much funnier

I mean, that logic works if Michael Jackson had appeared in the South Park episode.

What? Next you'll be telling me that it wasn't Kim Jong-Il playing Kim Jong-Il in Team America World Police.

My third choice was Alan Moore in The Simpsons.

In hindsight I should have picked David Hyde Pierce as Sideshow Bobs brother Cecil in the Simpsons as thats one of the best episodes ever.

But Michael Jackson did the voice acting, unlike in South Park...

mike myers does the voice over for Shrek but hes not actually a big green ogre.
michael jackson wasnt even given credit for the simpsons, they weren't allowed. so legally it wasn't him (even though it was)

Didn't know that Michael Jackson did the voice, would have gone for that as my second choice had I known it wasn't a mistake. I learn something new every Culture Cup.

Bowie in Extras isn’t even the best guest, which is why I didn’t vote for it. Ian Mckellen and Ronnie Corbett definitely better turns, Bowie is just magnitude.

As it's quite widely recognised as it being him, i'm sure it still classes as a Cameo. The South Park version, is actually Trey Parker.

So you have interpreted the brief as anyone with a credited acting role playing themselves? For example Jim Carey plays the Grinch live action, but he is a human actor really.

They do, they just don't associate the person playing the character/voice as being MJ, you know, like they do with The Simpsons version.

It wasn't my choice (though I voted for it) but to defend this - The different series of Blackadder are in essence different shows entirely

He was actually 'Wing Commander, the Lord Flashheart'!
His other non-Flashheart appearance in Blackadder as Mad Gerald is a separate cameo. And the specials doesn't count.
