Mexican beef and cheese Panini, vegetable and bean soup 7/10
First soup in the new place was somewhat of a disappointment, colour and viscosity was good, taste was bland.

I worked from home today so I had four slices of toast and a cup of coffee for breakfast and four slices of toast and a cup of coffee for lunch.
Was ok, 6/10.

Very good, Jules.
Top cooking, Galts, were you on sprog duty? Or are you just WFH to fill the WFH void previously catered for by Tino (RIP)

Somehow it’s become sprog duty. The missus and I work half days now, me in the morning, she in the afternoon. I work from home twice a week and end up looking after jr during this time as the lazy b*tch uses my wfh hours to sleep.

Dynamite fisting, Galted. How are you?
Thought I heard a piece on the radio today about some serial nude shopper finally getting caught in some mega mall. I can't see it on the online news yet though. Pretty sure I wasn't dreaming...

Good thanks PJ, and yourself?
I know Julius like to do some nude shopping on a Tuesday but they normally cordon off the mall for him, though I think that's more to keep the commoners away.
Perhaps it was one of Dave's victims escaping.

How's things Rick?
How long do you think May will last... less than 31 days or hours?
Such a precarious situation she's in. Not really fair for the country though. We all crave stable governments. They just seem so hard to maintain without more mess being constantly created.

She is in a no win situation, I have little sympathy for her, but the fact remains that brexit is somewhat of an "Underpant Gnome" situation that was not created by her. I think the details of the deal will be released and is on borrowed time from there on in.
Are you well, PJ?

I'm well thanks, Rick.
Yes I'm aware she was handed the poisoned chalice. I note that in Britain you let these things slowly and painfully draw out in textbook Medieval style. Whereas here they tend to bring things to a head rather quickly. Knives all out and then the bloodless coup seems to be the pattern. We call it the killing season... especially after the last parliamentary winter sessions before an Election year.

We did have a night of the long knives a while back, but you are generally correct, it is usually death by a thousand cuts as a rule.
I generally stay on the periphery of political debate as a rule, but the very notion of Brexit kind of boils my p1ss.

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
You know what... just generally looking at the world and Europe in particular.
Seems every country has its gripes re identity, terms of trade, immigration, number of tourists, etc.
Why not (as a 100 year commemoration of the end of WW1) say to the members of the EU:
Ok, let's have a break... re calibrate... work out what you want / don't want on paper.
Then sit down at a big oval table in Malta or somewhere next summer and let each country present their proposals. Have a Euro army on standby just in case. There would need to be strict conditions whereby members couldn't stall or muddy the waters. The primary aim would be to renew agreements.
Just get the basic relations between countries more reasonable and finely tuned given the current conditions we now face. I think the EU framework is now a mess with thousands of bits added on over the last 40 or so years.
Maybe the UK is in fact ahead of the game and can get support from the other big players.. and some smaller ones who also want certain things revisited.

Cheers, Galts, worth the wait for appreciation.
You can add it to the dictionary and preferences if you can be arsed, I can't, but it can be done.
