Next play is October - if we get enough submissions of short plays for the anthology format. West Midlands writers are letting us down. Half-marathon is also in October. I'll have to take it to the limit.

I can't wait to greet Julius in the West End only to be told by his minders to move along and stop bothering him.

West End is unlikely, but you never know. I may get there in the long run.

I've got a peaceful easy feeling you are being a little humble, Jules. I can't tell you why... but I'm quite sure you'll be doing West End productions before hell freezes over.

Don't be so modest, just takes a bit of inspiration and/or luck and you're snorting coke out of Meryl Street's bum crack.

Morning, Jules
Alas I don't know the music reference, but I am still glad I didn't wake up in a tent in a field at Download.

Morning Rick and Jules.
No need to get up-tighter.
I suppose the cricket will be affected in Nottingham. I hope not. I was quite looking forward to this fixture.

Not my era, Jules, though my musical knowledge in general is pretty poor.
Morning, Peej, yeah the middle lands are awash from what I can gather from reports, as the aforementioned Download festival is in Leicestershire just next to Notts.
Though Jules is better placed than I for first hand knowledge.

Morning all.
Said hello to the friendly Cockney dog-walker this morning and his greeting was "f*cking summer" though, being a Cockney, it came out as "fuh-ing summer". He fronted up to the clouds when he said it, hope for their sake they're gone by tomorrow.

Well you've got a bloody right to say that.
Hilarious that Cockney dog walker. That's the London I remember... full of characters, always so positive about the weather.

I will take a delayed lol out loud, Galts.
I believe it is good for you to speak to strangers, so you are probably, both mentally and physically, healthy as f**k now, Galts.

G'day Galts... how's it going?
Can you see Taunton through your high-powered binocuars from the Breakfast Bar of the Shard? Is it raining? (I could do with an early night...)

Hello PJ, hope you're well.
Weather was ok from what I remember, though I was half asleep on my walk.
Unfortunately I'm forced to work in a basement with the Angry Kiwi and several other undesirables and so am forced to rely on the BBC for weather reports.

Tundraesque, it is bound to be annoying the chavvy families who treat the city centre water feature like a centre parcs swimming pool complete with towels and picnic.
So this cheers me up a bit.
