So the title race is between Liverpool and Leicester.

Actually turning into a relatively easy title success for the Scousers now. Liverpool haven't been great this year, which just showcases how far City have fallen this year. I'd be surprised to see Pep still there this summer.

Jonathan Liew with the most apt put down of Arsenal's defending yet:

Deserved in that VAR made sure the right decision was made. Not from performance. Even Rodgers admitted that

It’s time for the Amazon bookshop to start showing the Premier League at the strangely staggered times of 19:30 and 20:15.

Thanks for the reminder. Watched a bit of Burnley v City in UHD and wasn't bad, seen better quality but there was no buffering.
Wish they'd do it with no commentary at all, just crowd noise.

I thought the times were odd until I realised I could watch one and a half games given half time in the first game is at the same time as the second game starts.
Shall watch first half of Spurs v Utd tomorrow before turning over to watch Us v Liverpool.
And will no doubt turn back once it is clear we are going to get stuffed

Take it they don’t have fanzone anymore?
Used to watch some Villa games with the Villa fan and opposing teams fans. Used to be quite comical at times.
The reactions of a late winner etc were great.
I’d actually find it tough to watch a game without commentary.

Haven't had Sky for quite a few years but I remember the playercam they had, was intrigued at first but it seemed a bit pointless watching the same player wandering around a little square of pitch scratching his balls.
It's not generally the main commentator I find annoying, it's the co-commentator - always a particularly tedious ex-player who thinks he's a stand-up comedian.

There's a few very good ones, I get quite the spread now I'm in Australia as there's full English coverage for all games.
You're still looking at Beglin, Nevin and a newer entry of Hinchcliffe as the best.

Fair play to Brucie, he’s doing a good job.
My mate text me last night and said it was about time Saint-Maximin scored.
Prem is pretty tight at the moment.
Newcastle beat saints, which I expect them to, then they will be top half.

Bitter comments from, Wilder. He was out-foxed by a world class manager, and as the pundits and Toon players have stated, they were told before the start of the season, to play to the whistle. The linesman putting his flag up, is an indication to the ref, and not the players.
Didn’t change the outcome of the game, they failed to score, so we still would of won, 0-1. Howay the lads!

Table looks strange at the moment - only 9 points separating 5th and 18th and we’re into December.
Indeed, 5th placed Wolves have only won one more game than 18th placed Everton all season.

Eddie Howe quoted as saying he is fully committed to Bournemouth.
Expect him to sign for Everton in time for the transfer window...
Steve Bruce responsible for a sudden spike in sales of humble pie. Who'd have predicted he could turn that sorry-looking lot into something resembling a football team?

I did feel for the Sheff United fans, as the Goalie and the Left Back clearly stop, however, I saw a replay this morning and the ref clearly signals that play continues. So screw Wilder. Stevecastle United all the way!

Transfer ban reduced to one window for Chelsea, and the fine halved. So they are free to sign players in January.
Might have been a blessing in disguise to wait until the summer, rather than overpay for someone (Zaha...) not quite good enough now. Which has tended to be our strategy for a while.

Turning into a sorry defence of their PL title, for City. Completely out of sorts this season, and quite a sizeable rebuild needed at the Etihad, this summer. End of era feeling for this squad now.

Man City 1 Man Utd 2.
Not that big of a surprise to me. Derbies are always tough to call. I remember when United were the football power, and they got stuffed by City 5-1.
Glad for Ole though. Every time United lose a game he gets stick, and the old "gone by Christmas" line gets thrown out there. So now that he has had a good week, I hope he gets some plaudits.
One more thing. I thought that United deserved to beat Liverpool when they played a few weeks ago but it ended up 1-1. But apart from that draw, United have beaten the top teams like Leicester, Chelsea, Tottenham and Man City.

Liverpool have the ability to play poorly, and still take 3 points. Leicester can’t even beat Norwich. Unfortunately, the title race has been over for a while now. As for the top 4, it looks like Lampard and his squad are beginning to be exposed now. I’d imagine that fourth slot will be filled by Mourinho or OGS, by next May. Always thought Lampard was a stop gap, and not overly convinced they will truly back him, now they can spend again.

Why VAR didn’t disallow that goal is a mystery. But a bigger mystery is how Lingard still gets into the starting XI of any Premier League club - it’s like when Downing was racking up all those appearances for Liverpool.

Arteta to Arsenal, seemingly on the cards. Not overly convinced, but there seems to be an obsession of going down this route now, of appointing ex-players.
Ancelotti at Everton gathering pace, possibly bringing Usmanov on board too. Still think it sums up where Carlo’s career is, that a club like Everton is now being considered. Seems to have been on the decline for a few years, and struggled in his last couple of jobs.

Title race definitely over after Leicester’s defeat yesterday. Three of the top four places wrapped up. About nine teams in with a chance of taking fourth, from Chelsea to Palace, though United’s are currently taking a bit of a dent.
No team looks relegated at the moment and there’s only 8 points separating 13th placed Brighton and 20th placed Watford.

Man Utd rollercoaster hit another dip, losing at Watford. Have to say they looked truly awful and Watford were literally bullying them at times. Wonder if the board will be thinking about potential replacements again?
Spurs equally bad at home to Chelsea. Never really looked in the game and don't think Son's red card had much effect on the outcome. Honeymoon period over already for Jose?

Is Anthony Taylor the worst referee in the Premier League?
The VAR must have told him that he must be completely mad/incompetent/blind or bent if he thought that Alonso fouled Gazzaniga. Fortunately, justice was done.

Lampard’s men throwing away all the good work done at Tottenham at the weekend. I still think you’d always back Mourinho over the course of the season, to make that top 4. Lampard’s boys just too inconsistent, and their home record is abysmal of late.

I'm sure most Toon fans are quite happy...for now...
Plus don't forget Bruce is working with the handicap of having Mike Ashley as his boss. That has broken a few better managers.

That was the point!
And Mike Ashley is a better owner than David Sullivan. He doesn't play the media well enough, if you get friendly with selected journalists, you get a free ride.
