Perennial World Cup Quarter Finalists vs A Team With No Clear Strategy That Doesn't Currently Play To It's Strengths, Please Come Back Vern
Historical head to head data is useless as Scotland won for the 1st hundred years but Ireland have been dead good since the year 2000, except in 2010 at Croke Park which tells you Dan Parks is the finest rugby player Scotland has ever poached from Australia.
New head coach for Ireland in Farrell vs Townsend with new back room staff
Captain Sexton vs Captain Hogg - Eurgh, there's going to be so much moaning at the ref.
I'm looking forward to seeing a healthy amount of abuse in the thread below, please enjoy.

Clash of heads from Irish player to Hastings. Hastings head bounces off and into Doris's chin and down he goes. Tough debut

Unlucky penalty that - Haining did well to react but no one with him.

I liked that passage - we made life bloody awkward for Ireland. Need to do that for 80 minutes.

I'm loving the physicality and niggle we're bringing to this! About time.
Just need the accuracy now which hasn't been great so far.

Re: Ireland vs Scotland 6 Nations - Saturday 1st February 2020 - Match Thread
Good for the championship that scotland have turned up switched on even if they lack that touch of quality and composure to turn pressure into points.
Ireland maybe feeling the pressure more, scotland had no expectations on them whereas ireland seemed to be shipping soft penalties out of frustration over a game they were supposed to walk.
I'd be very surprised still if Ireland dont win, the odd times they get it right they look brilliant. But competitive games are what makes the 6 nations special

Loads of positives from Scotland bit plenty frustrations too. We've been so aggressive and made life incredibly difficult for Ireland, but we've also coughed up possession easily in their 22 on 3 occasions - convert even one of those and we're in the lead.
We're very much in the game though!
