rIcK! You're alive. That is good news.
Surviving here despite BoJo's best efforts to put all small businesses (that Tory party members don't own a piece of) out of action. Getting to the point where I am going to have to kill and eat the family chickens if this goes on much longer.
How are you?

Yep, I am not a previously discussed obscure celebrity.
Busy here, have a couple of folk off sick which means doing some actual work, which is a f**King travesty.
Coupled with the fact that we are playing meals on wheels for Mrs D's Nan and dad who recently had a stroke and who's missus can't cook for 5h1t apparently (neither can Mrs D) means busy times.
Is the business holding up at all?

Sorry to hear about Mrs D's family. Sounds rough.
It's holding up from an order book perspective I suppose but more a cash flow issue at the moment. Those that haven't pulled their orders have paid deposits but only small and the uncertainty is killing everyone. No one is booking weddings, parties, Christenings etc etc so we have orders on the books but no firm dates to work from so no cash coming in really. We are banking on the pent up demand being there when the shackles are finally lifted so its just managing cash flow till we can fulfill the order book and get new customers on.

You could get stuck into the invertebrates once you're done with the chickens. I once had a bagel filled with insects and worms at a trendy cafe in Utrecht and, while not pleasant, it was edible.
Alternatively, you could feed the kids to the pets.

Thanks, Galted. If I had any fears about the immediate future, I don't any more with sound advice like that.

No worries. I like to give a little back to the community which helped make me what I am today.
Fretting a bit about typing 'ata' instead of 'at a' in my first post. If Julius catches wind of that I'm done for.

Re: Music Section Morning Tea Society
Once in Mexico City (30 years ago?) I went to a pre hispanic restaurant. Funnily enough it served food from, well, pre hispanic times. The ant eggs were surprisingly good, but the crickets were very dry (and the legs get stuck in your teeth). I seem to remember that they didn't have any snake or iguana in stock but that I did eat armadillo. To be honest given the sauce was so thick and satisfyingly spicy it could have been anything.

Rough but making progress which is good.
I would not envy any small business at the minute mate, let's hope there is some good news after February 20th.
Lot's of protein in insects, they are basically dry prawns after all .

I did notice the 'ata' but got so emotionally swept up in the strong advice, I overlooked it.

I don't get upset with typos, especially after an impressive use of the Oxford comma.
