Thanks for pointing it out, rather than shying away from my mistake or blaming others I will take ownership of it and use it to make myself a better person.

I think I called you a moron at the same time. Is d*ckhead worse than moron? I'm not sure.
Who would have thought the inclusion of a divisive poster would create such controversy.
Although no publicity is bad publicity. The atmosphere round here is electric now.

If he posted more, he would probably make it to the top.

D1ckhead can be a term of endearment - although that's doubtful when its directed at Duty.
I don't think moron could ever be a term of endearment - it certainly doesn't feel like one when Mrs Superfly uses it.

I don't know if you've listened to any Gerry Cinnamon but he has a great song (Diamonds in the Mud) which is about Glasgow. There is a cracking chorus that goes - "I've been all around the world. But, there's nowhere compares to my hometown. The mayhem of Glasgow is buried deep in my blood. And there's no other place where a 'c*nt' might not be a put down. It's thirteen degrees and there's folk in the street, in the scud".
I always thought my dad was just being rude to me but turns out he could have been showing affection all these years.

Have heard some of his stuff and quite liked it in a kind of nostalgic way.
Don't think it's restricted to Glasgow. Have on more than one occasion been part of a conversation where someone has said "Do you know that c*nt? That c*nt's a good c*nt".

One of my primary school teachers would address any kid whose work wasn't up to scratch as a moron. About halfway through the year I made a f*ck-up of such significance that she called me a cretin, which caused much astonishment in the class as no-one had any idea what a cretin was.
I remember her very fondly.

Watched an extended version of JFK last night and a couple of the extra minutes were just Kevin Costner sitting on the toilet and reading a magazine. He then got up and left the toilet without wiping.
I'm not sure that it added anything to the argument that Oswald didn't act alone.

There were also some more graphic photos of Kennedy's corpse. Maybe the extended cut was aimed at the niche scatologist necrophile demographic?

Haven't seen JFK yet, might have to investigate whether it's free on Prime or Netflix.
Kevin Costner was worthy of a nomination for the c*nt competition, mainly for his smug air of self-importance as well as for Dances With Wolves.

Similar bad ablutions etiquette on Once Upon a Time in America which I recorded ages ago but never got around to watching until Wednesday.
There is a scene where the kid (young "Noodles") is taking a dump in the communal bog and purposely leaves the door ajar in the hope of bumping into the tenement s!ut, Peggy. She bursts in (as anticipated) and not only doesn't he wipe his arse he doesn't flush either. He then proceeds to rub himself up against her and she doesn't put up much of a fight.
Didn't really like the movie. Too long at 4 hours 10 mins. Some of the characters don't age as much as they should between 1933 and 1968.
Tuesday Weld looks properly aged at about 62 but Elizabeth McGovern still looks about 25 when she should also be in her 60s.

Have seen the original cut of the film a number of times and its good - as long as you don't take it too seriously. The extended cut adds nothing to it except length.

Only ever watched that film once. Christ, it's slow. The scene where the telephone rings for about 18 months was almost the last straw for me. Probably my least favourite Leone film.

Yeah, that was annoying along with the jumping back and forth with the timelines.
The best scene was the woman's corpse springing to life in the hearse... for what it was worth.

Watched Once Upon a Time in America recently as well. Don't remember too much apart from recognising scenes from the Modern Talking - Brother Louie video, which turned out to have f-all to do with the film.
Watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood the other day, was quite a good laugh. The scenes with the Manson family were cinema gold.

I watched Jaws on Tuesday night and American Werewolf in London last night.
I've seen them both before. Jaws many, many times. AWIL at least twice as well.
They are good. Jaws is better.

Once upon a Time in Hollywood is quite a long and fairly interesting lead in to a brilliant punch line.
Not sure if any of you listen to podcasts, but the Rewatchables podcast on Spotify is really good (although it does depend on what film they're doing).

Thanks, Galted. Means a lot coming from both my favourite poster and also the most esteemed film critic we have. I would say the only thing AWIL has over Jaws is the fleeting glimpse of Jenny Agutter's milkers. Not enough to make it the better film though.
I feel like I need to watch Barton Fink one day to converse with you as a equal.
