Lets see how Edinburgh approach the second half, do they want anything else from this game now they have the points?

Bradbury putting in some monster hits this afternoon, just got his face split open for his troubles this time though!

Cardiff just lost their second hooker, so this is going to get complicated and messy

A better period for Cardiff, but they are playing suicide rugby and a mistake costs them another try
Or maybe not Bennett knocks on in tackle

Goodness, Charlie Sheil gets brought on eventually then can't get his tracksuite off and so Vellacott comes back on.

Brilliant individual try for Mark Bennett, that might get him MoM, he has played well

Don’t get me wrong. Chris Harris is defensively amazing for Scotland. But surely Bennett is the answer at 13 when a different type of centre is required for our game plan

See that kinda sums up blairhorn for me. Magic getting to 2m from the line but then throws a speculative pass at best to a prop that’s never going to catch or. Should have just gone down, reset, gone again

Well he is certainly putting himself into the argument, such a shame he did not play in the AIs
Bradbury is also playing like a new man. All the things that we held against him, workrate, defence etc seem to have been worked out. Surely he is back in the mix as well.

The whole of the second half developed into a game of chuckabout by both sides really. He may have made a different call should the match have needed it

Game over I think. The Ospreys 14 will be having nightmares about those two tries.

I hear what you're saying Gee, but penalties apart they have created nothing. Glasgow will score another try or two. Ospreys need to score two or three penalties without conceding in order to have a chance here. Can't see it happening.

Sione Tuipolotu gets MoM, a toss up between him and Rory Darge I would have said
We have OCs queuing up at the moment for the national side, Harris, Bennett, Jones and Tuipolotu they would all do a job for us!

Good win for Glasgow against a stuffy Ospreys side.
Most pleasing was the way we ramped up the pressure in the third quarter as the rust of not playing for three weeks got left behind. We don't seem to have left our form behind in the lay off.

Well he is just stagnating at Glasgow and is to good a player to do that. Hard to see him being picked ahead of either Johnson or Tuipolotu (who is as good at 12 as he is at 13 atm).
He is just unfortunate to have been around a golden age of centres in Scotland, for both teams.
Good luck to him if he does head south.

Just watched the Edinburgh game - as good as Bradbury was, Bennett was definitely MOTM!
It's a real shame that in some of the peak years of his career he was having to play to Cockers tactics and coached by Hodge - i.e. he didn't touch the ball for 3 seasons. He'll definitely be enjoying his rugby a lot more this season!

Two terrific performances today. Cracking stuff from Bradbury and Bennett, and thought Rambo was also very good when he was on the pitch.
Darge was great for the Weegies, as was Tuipolotu. Josh MacKay is also a real handful at the back. A bit loose today, but huge potential there.

Fes, Rambo might have been exceptionally good when he was off the pitch but it wouldn't really have made any difference to the result, would it?
For me the most pleasing aspect of the Glasgow performance was the way that they kept possession and their attacks same to come in waves, building pressure over time until a score was inevitable as opposed to, say DR's sides, when it was more like trying to catch lightning in a bottle.
Ospreys' defence was well organised and quite physical, but Exeter will ask a lot more questions with the ball in hand, although they are one of those sides who tend to prefer to give you the ball, usually deep in your half, and then pressure you into conceding penalties.
I wasn't massively impressed by Big Walter: he seemed a little lost at times, but it was his first match. Let's hope Titman is fit for next week.

I don’t know Jimbo. I always think Ryan Wilson does his best work for Glasgow off the pitch, as with his spiritual predecessor, the Ruck Inspector.
Back to hookers though, pleasing to see Fraser Brown back in action.

Re: Glasgow and Edinburgh - Unceasing Banter Thread 27
It was a good weekend for the Scots clubs. Only saw the highlights (and about 10 minutes of Edinburgh when Bennett got his first try).
Darge and Bradbury are going to be banging on the door. Ritchie and M Fagerson are probably looking over their shoulders as there can only be four in the matchday 23 and Watson is nailed on.
Tuipulotu looked great going forward but his defense just does not feel top tier. Harris is too important to the defensive system to be dropped so him and Bennett are likely to be deputising. Wouldn't mind either at 23...or Steyn...or Maitland...or H Jones...or Hutchinson...basically they are at the front of a queue knocking at the door.

Hadn't realised Sutherland got a right for a head-on-head collision. Could rule him out of the first game though reports seem to suggest it might not be a long one if there is a ban at all.
Hutchinson has not been getting the plaudits he was early last season but he is regularly starting games in rotation with Dingwall and Proctor. If S Johnson goes down then he would be very much in the conversation with Lang though not clearly playing above and beyond.

Re: Glasgow and Edinburgh - Unceasing Banter Thread 27
The backs on here would be able to confirm this, but I believe that defensively, 12 is easier to play than 13?
I also hear that Tuipulotu can play at 12, so if SJ pulled up then perhaps Tuipulotu would be useful at 12 for his attacking powers and his defensive frailties won’t be as extreme. Then he’d have the rock , aka the hardest working man in world rugby, Harris beside him at 13 doing that defensive shift???

So, if tigertattie is right we have;
Johnson-Harris as starters
Shona-Seaman as back ups
Redpath, Hutchinson and a resurgent all pushing for a place too.
I'm pining for the days of Di Rollo and Andy Henderson to be honest.
Also, it looks as if Lord Stafford of McDowall may be loaned out to Wasps soon.

Talk his he's due back soon. Don't think he should be rushed back into the 6N, particularly when we already have good depth at centre now. It'll take him a while to get up to speed after such a long layoff.

Ideally we line up a game against USA or Canada as part of our Argentina tour so we can get a few more youngsters involved - like Redpath. In Covid times that might not be so desirable however, unless they fancy coming down to Argentina too!

Murphy Walker signs his first pro deal with Glasgow Warriors.
Good to see another young Scottish TH coming through the ranks. He has had a few tastes of pro time already and will likely get some more as this season progresses. I did not realise he was Sean Lineen's nephew, so he has some good pedigree!

So now that restrictions are being lifted, what excuse are Glasgow going to come up with to avoid humiliation at the hands of the proper rugby team in Scotland?
