Basically just Scotland anyway.
I still think there were zero instances of Covid in Scotland. It was just people dying at the usual rate due to questionable life choices and heroic levels of cholesterol intake. Covid took one look at Scotland and thought - "nah, not worth the bother".
Sounds like the equivalent of the reason we don't have nasty poisonous spiders in our houses - in that we have f*ck off huge house spiders that eat them.
*venomous
Tick.
As I read that, Tino, a tiny spider (I thought it was a fleck of dust) moved quickly across my computer screen. Its little legs were moving at a rate of knots. Still took about 20 seconds the disappear from view. It'll probably grow up to become a monster arachnid... if I don't accidentally swallow it.
I've never heard of Warrigal greens, btw. That worm must have been having a great time swimming around in her brain. Much warmer than AI.
I also read that story this morning here but the bbc link has some other gruesome related topics like the "Florida resident dies from brain eating amoeba" story. Who the hell rinses their sinuses with tap water anyway? I just use turps or petrol usually. Does the job.
I was struck by the one about the man killed by his pet kangaroo

Yes, we can be quite nasty. That one was a western red, no relation to me obviously.
Us eastern greys are generally more placid and civilised but we can have a nasty temper if backed into a corner. The best thing to do is treat us with a modicum of respect and you should be OK... after you hand over the bag of carrots.
p.s. My avatar was a photo taken just before I went to a fancy dress party - as a western red.

Not much, PJ. Two more days until school starts and my headache disappears. The rugby world cup is what's keeping me going as I promised myself I could have a few bottles on each match day.

So you're back home.
Just watched the Kiwi video posted towards the end of the "England winning at a canter thread"... and their predictions. At 45:00 near the end.
Don't think we'll be anywhere near the semis... out in the quarters if they get that far. Mils Muliaina is going for an Ireland-NZ final. That'd be good.
Personally I think it'll be between SA, France and NZ, or more accurately, any 2 of those 3. Ireland maybe in with a shot if they get a good run there.

We'll see. England don't have any chances unless something really dramatic happens. Neither does Australia.
I don't think NZ are good enough this year. Always competitive of course, but not quite there. That leaves Ireland, France and SA. Ireland don't have a strong RWC history and are still dependent on Sexton who is still as punchable as ever but whose chin is not what it was. France seem to be going through a mini injury crisis and have a huge weight on their shoulders as hosts.
In other words it could be a very open championship, and it would be good to see a new name on the trophy.

Hope France finally do it, though they seem to be starting off their usual self-imploding.

That's horrific. I can't be doing with Buckfast - it feels like a panic attack in a bottle. My brother-in-law drinks it and you can spot the danger signs when he's taken one sip too many and it's time to leave before he punches a hole in the wall and starts either banging on about independence or romanticising the IRA.

I'm with your brother-in-law here. I think the inflation reduction act has been a real positive.

Some exciting news, and welcome good news in these terrible times... wore my new sandals to the O2 today and there was minimal chafing and no squeaking. The straps are also thinner than my old pair so that my foot tan can be expanded to about 85%.

Wokeness gone mad. What America needs is more automatic weapons in the hands of people with mullets, not the reduction of the budget deficit.

It is some beverage to be fair, I used to smash it before going out at Uni.
I once saw a pub in Glasgow that had it on tap, and people ordered pints.

The aforementioned brother-in-law used to work in a pub in Uddingston that had it on optics and a side window where people could buy it without coming into the pub. I'm fairly certain that pub will have had a flat roof.

Thought the Marquis only wrote about it and wasn't too involved in the dirty stuff himself, kind of an EL James of his time.
