Who besides Itoje whiffed on the weak tackle attempt on the Fiji try? That was pish pour.

England's tacking has just dropped off in the last five minutes. Everything's dropped off. Including the lead.
This is like when Fiji stunned SA in 2007 with two quick tries.

And now we see why it's not so easy to plop a fly half at fullback. Marcus Smith had his positioning altogether wrong on that try...

Think Fiji will be relieved to only concede three.
Now England mess up the restart.

Just about did enough to overcome Fiji, despite being outscored on the try count. Very messy game and the winner's prize is to get slapped about in the SF stage. Still, the RFU will clap themselves on the back and pretend all is well.

You’re forgetting that it’s Wales’ fault that they had a difficult route to the KO stages.

You mean hope to get a favourable draw, so instead of playing the All Blacks you get Fiji? Ireland are still way better than England.

They'll not get out the group...they'll not beat Fiji...
Nothing to lose now ...they were expected to get to the SF really....they've achieved rhat. Anything else is a bonus.
Now for France to get pumped and it's a great weekend...

Re: 3rd QF England v Fiji - Stade de Marseille
It got very ugly at the end. From the crossing in the lineout penalty which led to Revai's try England fell to bits having played a largely smart game before that.
They had a couple of very poor restarts. Very poor exits from their own 22. The defence lost the good connectivity it had previously in the game. Frustrating.
I don't think there's a clear break on for the deliberate knock on as the ball is going to ground rather than the man outside. From there it can bounce anywhere. So I think that's the right call from Raynal. He reffed a very loose game though.
