Union Cane's Prediction League - 12th and Final Round
First topic message reminder :

Week Eleven Review
Tomasz Adamek is a two-weight world champion, and therefore clearly no mug, but he was no match for Vitali Klitschko. Simply too small to compete, Adamek did well to last as long as he did but was never going to beat the bigger man.
Paul McCloskey should change his name to McLucky, after a terrible start he somehow managed to turn things round (helped no doubt by the home crowd cheering every punch he threw, let alone landed) and get a controversial decision against Breidis Prescott.
Some very high scores this week, even without the McCall / Cooper result, which is not in yet. which is now a voided fight.
When will I learn not to use fights from these back-water third-world countries?
'Predictor of the Week' is a tricky one this week, with Mind the windows Tino., alma, licence_007 and Reborn-DeeMcK-Reborn all getting all four fights spot on and amassing 16 points each. As it's impossible to split them, this week's award goes to Michaels, Sean, who, despite all the points on offer, still only managed a paltry 3 points. Took some doing that, well done Sean.

Thought you'd like that one. 46 and 45 they are, which when combined is nearly as old as you!

Statistics don't mean a thing. I posted the 100,000th post or something like that. I was flavour of the month for at least 30 seconds. I'm less popular than a Kurd with the admins these days.

I think the Iraqi Kurds seem to be last ones at the table. I'm led to believe they even rank below gypos.

Union, it's obviously a cancellation. Can't you just update the table based on it being cancelled and then adjust if need be?

Seems more concerned with looking at the view count rather than actually doing his chuffing job and updating the thing.
I for one am not amused. Think squirrel with a nut up it's arriss kinda not amused.

Adjusting it involves a lot of p*ssing about, I'll leave it while dinner time then do as you wish if there is no news.

DINNER TIME?!
Shambolic
Why not ring the IBU or whichever pointless belt they were fighting for?
And why does it involve mucking about? You've only gotta change the points and then re-arrange the table. Bearing in mind most would've had McCall it's not exactly going to change much now, is it?

Mr Cane, can I ask a polite question?
Are you having a weeks break before starting the "new" two tier league system, or are you going straight into it?

Good question. What would you prefer?

Champions League, now there's an idea.
Does anyone know if the other sports on here have similar prediction competitions?
I could send my top 5 predictors off to do battle with golf, tennis, wrestling (?), and rugby's finest...

London was great in the sunshiiiiine yesterday Michaels you tight git. You have always struck me as a drooling pervert so you would have loved sticking some sunnies on and letting your eyes wander.
Granted, I did cop an eyeful at times, particularly the tall well built types who seem to be abundant in London. The memory bank images are however tainted by seeing two follicly challenged male pensioners tonguing each other on the South Bank.

From a purely selfish perpective, I would like a weeks break. I am away from Friday afternoon, and wouldn't be returning in time to make my predictions for the first weeks action. I do have one of those horrific blackberry devices so if push came to shove I could have a go at doing it remotely, but seeing as I have only just got to grips with opening emails, it is not something I would relish trying.
Am I taking this too seriously? Quite possibly, but seeing as I would probably have won this league if I have taken part from week one, I would apppreciate starting on an even keel.
No doubt some ignoramus like Coxy, or quite possibly jeff, will complain, so if it is an issue, I will make some random guesses before the fights are up.
Thanks for your time,my love.

I resent that Tino. I have been more than supportive of Union, even during the dark days of reverse linear and have often been the lone voice fighting his corner on the prediction threads. Have on occasions had to tell him to grow a set but that was tough love and think deep down he appreciated it and will be a better man for it.
