Union Cane's Prediction League - 12th and Final Round
First topic message reminder :

Week Eleven Results
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Week Eleven Review
Tomasz Adamek is a two-weight world champion, and therefore clearly no mug, but he was no match for Vitali Klitschko. Simply too small to compete, Adamek did well to last as long as he did but was never going to beat the bigger man.
Paul McCloskey should change his name to McLucky, after a terrible start he somehow managed to turn things round (helped no doubt by the home crowd cheering every punch he threw, let alone landed) and get a controversial decision against Breidis Prescott.
Some very high scores this week, even without the McCall / Cooper result, which is not in yet. which is now a voided fight.
When will I learn not to use fights from these back-water third-world countries?
'Predictor of the Week' is a tricky one this week, with Mind the windows Tino., alma, licence_007 and Reborn-DeeMcK-Reborn all getting all four fights spot on and amassing 16 points each. As it's impossible to split them, this week's award goes to Michaels, Sean, who, despite all the points on offer, still only managed a paltry 3 points. Took some doing that, well done Sean.

Actually, it was no reflection on Union. More a dig at you seeing as you consistently have sly pop's at me for being below you in the league.

When on earth did i do that?! I'm just saying why wait as everyone had McCall, and it won't make a difference as me and the idiocy of pbf both have him by EKO.
Just because you're mid table mediocrity

This wind seems to rattling a few cages this morning.
I think I'm going to have to stop predicting draws to catch up. I'm too good to go down.

I love it, Union talks about some long forgotten football team, whilst Coxy brings up a pornstar.

Tino, how do you expect to overhaul your arch nemesis if you put a draw in there?!

The thing is Coxy, I am, notwithstanding a calamitous week, guaranteed a place in the top division next time out so I thought I would go sh!t or bust this week in an attempt to the win the whole damn thing.
I am looking for total glory, not just finishing above a bitter Yorkshireman who blames me for his failings in life.

I've emailed Moose Lewis of the IBU regarding the McCall - Cooper result.
Hopefully the IBU are not like the WBC, WBF, WBA and Frank Warren and they won't ignore me.
Respect to the UBO, the only organisation to have replied to me regarding this competition.

In that case you may be interested to learn that on Saturday October 1 at the Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana, Ravea Springs (28-3, 22 KOs) will take on Daniel Judah (23-8-3, 10 KOs) for the vacant Universal Boxing Organization™ World Cruiserweight title on a show promoted by former heavyweight contender Nate Tubbs, brother of former Heavyweight Champ Tony Tubbs.

Union, any news on my polite question from earlier?
You remember the one? It was just before Coxy started blathering on about going down on Sean Michaels or something.

Re: Union Cane's Prediction League - 12th and Final Round
Sorry Sir, quite forgot about that.
The new season is probably going to start next week unfortunately. I was considering having a week off to recharge my batteries, but a quick look at the fights lined up for next week revealed that Michael Sprott is fighting for the European Heavyweight Title, and it would be unfair to deprive other predictors the opportunity to get their teeth into such a bout.
It was a very politely put request though, and turning it down has caused me not inconsiderable personal anguish.

Union Cane wrote:Sorry Sir, quite forgot about that.
So basically you have explained the situation but bookended it with an insult first and a p!ss take at the end. Thanks Union. Thanks a bunch. Perhaps Trussman was right about you all along.
Can I impose on you to ask how many fights there will be and I will make my guesses accordingly?

Come on Union, you are being being very tiresome this morning.
I have been nothing but friendly to you recently as well. A little of love from you wouldn't go amiss.

Union would do well to remember who supported him when his cup competition looked likely to descend into farce, such short memories on here.

I was actually supporting you for a change Tino, I should not have to legislate for the fact you are too thick to work that out.

Ooh, get Sensitive Susan over there...
There will be five fights.
To make you feel loved and special again I will give you this inside scoop on next season's scoring system...
When predicting a Pts win, I will not differentiate between M or S, so the option will be UD or M/SD.

I didn't read it properly. You are quite right, I did support his cup competition, in fact I was the second person to join from memory. Second only to the desperate and shambolic man that is Seany.
Take this an apology jeff, although there is no need to be quite so insulting. I could PM my mate Hobo and ask for you to be banned. I won't, but consider this a warning.
Thanks Union, you lovely man.

The Top 20 finishers will form next season's Prediction Premiership.
As things stand, these are all regulars who have missed only one or two weeks.
The Championship will be open to all comers, with a set of predictions needed to enter, it is not the case that the Bottom 21 from this season will be automatically entered.
When the five weeks are up, the Bottom 5 in the Premiership will be replaced by the Top 5 from The Championship.
And so on.
Ad infinitum.

There is a fine line between banter and the emotional harm caused by bullying. I hope the MODS are well on top of this.

Following on from my victorious season #1 predictions i might retire with my legacy sealed.
I understand this will downgrade and demean whoever follows in my footsteps as it will be a shallow victory, they can't claim to be #1 as they won't have pitted themselves against the best of the best.
Who knows, in years to come i may make a return. But with my legacy sealed i think that's somewhat doubtful.

I think this decision coincides with the return of D4. A clear case of ducking it seems.

Tino will be pleased to here that. The bully is often the real victim in these cases. For all we know, Tino may have been touched inappropriately by his PE teacher all those years ago. He could still be carrying the pain of that incident today.

And also, I know you two go way back, but Rowley called me thick. Can you administer a stern telling off please?
