The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Oh yeah, that's right Nottins.
Hughie, I'd cook it from frozen, let it cool, microwave it, let it cool and then microwave it again. Then it'll be fine.

You got to defrost that shiz. Even if you do it in the microwave on a very low power setting, it should be fine.

Evenin' All.
Had quite an unhappy day in Birmingham today. It was our last team meeting. It's a bit sad being with great people that you know youll never see again, but there we are.
Welcome back MrsP. Hope to see more of you.

Cari - what Rava said
Cake update: well I've made it, it's not looking all that chocolaty and the icing is a fairly pale chocolate colour, so have noted that so next time I'm going to use some more cocoa. Just waiting for it to cool before I can taste it, yum

Aye aye Cari, alright? In honour of the brief flash of Mrs P, another on her mis-heard lyrics thread: in the George Michael song, I thought Anne Bancroft was saying "would you like me to introduce you, is that what you're trying to yell me". I kept thinking who does he want to meet?

argh cake disaster! put the top of it on and put he icing on it but it appears it is too heavy for the bottom layer, it's not looking very healthy at the moment

Hi folks. Back in home town....long day.
Having a well earned pint and the two young (white) guys behind me are gabbling away in yoof speak... 'innit' and 'bruv' aplenty. One of them says "Yeah, and he can't even speak English innit". Just spat my beer across the table.

But is it edible? Perhaps you could give some to Hughie being as he can't cook his frozen chook.

Tis definitely edible! Although perhaps made too much icing to go with it, have eaten too much (just to make sure it was good ) tis a bit sickly after a bit.

Evening all
Very jealous of all those going to see the this weekend. Have a blast all of you, I'm sure you will.
Hope everyone has had a good day today, absolutely chucked it down here, was thinking of building a raft to get to work tomorrow.
Am pretty happy with the England selection for Saturday. One or two regular starters in there, a few who have been on the fringes and in the squad for a while, a couple of new faces in Tuilagi and Sharples and one in from the cold in Stevens. Enough player sin there with points to prove and shirts to earn to ensure that there is a real test match intensity about the performance. Well played Martin Johnson.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Pete - 5 'usual' starters in the starting XV plus a few 'rehabilitations'. It will be an interesting game in terms of squad strength.
I'm gonna have a double dose of England v Wales on Saturday. A pre-season friendly of Ealing v Corus Saints and then scoot over to the 'Sheaf for the Twickenham game.
All those heading for 's gaff, have a great weekend.

I fancy us to do quite well Hound, really interested to see how Care, Wilko, Flutey and Tuilagi go. Care finished last season well, and if he has a stormer could push Youngs all the way for the starting 9 berth.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
I want to see that we have a good squad going into the RWC. There's a few untried combos, and we know that centre is not a strong point. Positive noises coming from Wales on their training camp.
Looking forward to this one.

Well phook it anyways. I missed Torchwood. Missed Eve, in leather, kickin orse. How did she look?
On a positive note, Gibbo the Younger got home from Norway with his GF this eve. Deepest Joy. Man, I love that boy - beyond Life & reason. But, if he doesnt make me an Opa soon, I phhokin will. She is gorgeous looking, vibrant, vivacious, intelligent and plans to sort out or start - World Conflicts as a living. Jeezuuzzzz. Condi Rice meets Charlize Theron. We just finished off a bottle of Norwegian Schnapps together. Talkin about everything and anything. If I was 20 years older and she was 20 years younger... Maybe... just maybe.. she'd have a chance.
Go Liamo! That's my boy.
Hound. He brought me back a dozen bottles of this kinda ting. As a man of distinction and class. An officiando of the finest and weirdest beers on Earth... What do ya reckon me Wasps darlin?
Its English, but the Norwegians LOVE it... its "Tempered over burning witches"... apparently. Ever tried it pal? Man Im soo pished. I blame his GF.
