The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Just a quick visit to let everyone know that they're showing the Wales v England quarter final match from the 2003 World Cup on ESPN Classic at nine tonight.
I might turn it off at half time...!

I'd like to think we all behaved ourselves. I was surprised to see so few of the Welsh involved. With English, Irish and Scotch scrapping around you'd think they have piled in.

Thomond, I thought that might be your plan. It was bad enough in 2003 when the final was in Aus. There were plenty of mangled people by 3pm that day* . This one will kick off even earlier and there will be pubs open for it.
* We were due to play a pub cricket match that afternoon - thank feck it rained. None if us would have been able to see the ball let alone hit it!

The Welsh were too busy arguing about their own team today, otherwise they'd've been on!!

Anyway, just wait till after the weekend - I can see the headlines now: 'Mighty Scots humble likely-semi-finalists (at least in their own heids) Ireland!!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Are you writing these headlines?
A defeat against Scotland really wouldn't dent my confidence in this team at all to be honest. After one week of rugby-based training and a weakened side, I'm really just looking for a good performance and guys putting their hands up at this stage. Like Wallace, Flannery, Kearney. I want us to win, I think we can win but it would be a bit silly to panic if we don't. If that makes sense?

The Scot should know that when it comes to the "Monarch of the Glen" it has antlers. Cows have horns.

Rugby World seems alright this month, after only reading a bit. I've learned that Matt Stevens hasn't lost a game since his return in January and that Toby Faletau's afro froze up in the Cryo Chambers.

Yes, watch Shane "Salmon's leap" Williams humiliate Laurence Dellaglio and wonder what might have been.

I'm going to watch the Ireland game cause it's on the BBC and I don't have Sky. I'll watch the highlights of the Wales game on BBC3 after the Dubs match online - wooo!
I might even watch the league match that's on after the union as well.

How do you know that? I haven't seen the team listed anywhere?
Besides, if he's not I bet McFadden and/or Wally will be.

Looks like McFadden will play Cari. Scottish team has already been announced though, google SRU and you should find it easy enough.

There was a bit of space there and they kept hanging off me, so I kept on running. I've always liked a wee canter," said Perrin, who coasted up the wing before linking up with his outside backs.
