Wasps - we wait and see. Poff is the most interesting signing for me. I hope he brings some Kiwi 'jfdi' to our game. Many fans are hopeful that we'll turn it round this season. For me, we have lost the Wasps ethic unless these new guys buy into what we have been about.

Then again, we have lost so many influential players in recent years that I still think we are reconstructing. Some of the guys who came through the Academy, like Webber, Waldouck, Matthews and Simpson, need to 'grow up'. Become the focal point of the team, and become real leaders. Having a fit Tom Rees will be a huge part in making that happen.

Rees is essential. As for the newbees fitting in, check your glorious History. They either fit in to the ethos, or they die and move on. Wasps remind me of Munster sometimes... Better elaborate on that when Im sober pal.

I watched some of Traffic Cops yesterday. One bloke was clocked doing 116mph on the motorway and when they eventually caught up with him he'd been doing 60 in a 30mph zone. It turned out he worked at a garage and he was returning a customer's car to him!

The idiot's punishment? He was given a £300-odd fine and banned from driving for fourteen days. He should have had his licence taken from him!

Right, gotcha now. Yes, when I first started living in Devon (c. 20mins away from Exeter), the Chiefs (in the Championship, or ND1 as it was then) were the nearest quality team to go and watch (I started out taking Caro's grandfather to the odd game, but then bought season tickets) Naturally by birth and growing up, my local team would have been Glasgow Hawks, and pro-district team would be the Warriors, but I've been away for 21 years now
