Aye i'm enjoying it Pooly....just need to keep exploiting the high ball. Big Les not looking bad running at 12 either which is good.

His hands look a little loose but he's doing ok. May looks a threat everytime he touches the ball. PDJ doing well at LH 3 pens and a free kick his way, don't think the Gloucester TH is up to much cop.
Dowson playing very well

Sharples and May were electric - you really missed Robinson today though, think he could be the most important player for Wasps this season!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Was an odd call - he played very well I thought. GUess they wanted to give Lamb a run out. Liked the look of Tom May.
Saints are bringing through a good batch of youngsters - bet I end up regretting selling Waller to Pete!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
May was electric today and their 7 was excellent. Pdj struggled at 1 against our lad who is well short of experience. It's what happens when you play someone out of position. Their second row was frighteningly quick.
Thought Lewis went well also. Johnny May can play 11-15 and was best player on show. His defence is great also.

I do mate, but not as much as I used to for the reason you put above. Lot's of posters on there who just rant about things and display a serious lack of knowledge of the game.
There are some really knowledgable guys on there who post some good stuff, but you have to really sift through some Poopie to get to it at times, particularly after we lose a game.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
there's a load of people on there who think Tom Homer is god. i thought homer was decent defensively but missed two kickable attempts at goal and was sometimes a little clueless in attack, needs to back himself more and just attack the space and take contact if necessary.
we don't need massive changes next week, I'd just put Grey, Hala'vatu and Shingler in for Roche, Rautenbach and Jarvis.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Nick - I think you can get away with player Hernandez during the WC, when fit the guy is world class and him being woefully short of form etc, is going to be better than say me playing Myles Dorrian at 10. Depends who you play him against e.g. Nick Evans then you'd get marked down.
Think Robinson's got 100% record so far with his kicking Mat! Long let it continue - what is happening with GLoucester, have they got any money since their owner passed away. They produce some seriously talented youngsters!
Wonder who has the best academy - Wasps, GLoucester or Saints - was really impressed with the Moody clone today. Waller is top prop too and Haywood can take a punch :-)

I thought Homer did ok, looked solid and attacked well.
Agree on the changes, would have Bowden at 10 and Shingler at 12.

We are skint Chris but have bags of good young talent. Evans our young backrow is a excellent. To be fair a backline of sapolu tindall sharples jsd and Morgan is top particularly with may off the bench with big les. Problem is if we get injuries up front

as usual irish problems will be upfront
hodgson bowden tagicakibau hape ansbro ojo armitage, similarly to gloucesters that is a top backline.

Think Irish need to find someone different to hodgson. He was really poor yesterday and
Carried on last seasons form. I was shouting at the tv watching it today just Sayingove the ball quicker.
I think he is the root of their problems. Seems to have gone to pieces as he has been a great player over the years

Its a shame there isnt more money in rugby, Wasps are always making a loss - and when you see how much awful football players get its ridiculous. Saints and Tigers seem to be only ones that make money and Quins the only ones good with marketing!

Glos crowds are down due to recession.
Glos is a pretty poor place and there is quite a lot
Of unemployment. Add
To that the stadium extensions and you get why we are poor. Also we have adhere to the salary cap. How can saints be under the salery cap?

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
They must be using the same financial advisor as Tigers Mat!
Although with Saints they have a lot of youngsters and no real marquee players - that gigantic lock was playing in San Francisco last year, so doubt he's on much. Out of that team today can on imagine Mujati, PDJ, Dowson and Myler are on good amounts and only really miss Hartley, Tiny, Lawes, Foden and Ashton as big earners in the squad?

PDJ won 3 pens and a free kick against Gloucester 3. Nothing against, thought he done really well in scrum.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Conceeded 2 pooly. Going in on the angle against chistolini. Want to watch the game on tv later today as it was cracking live. We were expected to get a stuffing in the scrum and it did not materialise. Wood having the better of mujati was the key.
I am a massive pdj fan but he is no loosehead it also stopped him contributing elsewhere as he tired playing out of position. To be fair the reason they took Wilson to the wc was because he was more dual sided than PDJ. I would not have picked Wilson. Showed how important tiny and Hartley were yesterday as our front row was tiny and dawiduik is not a scrummaging hooker.
Biggest loss for us was Alex brown our lineout vanished when he left the pitch

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Didn't see those Matt. There was one when the ref blew on his side but it was called on Mujati for going to ground. I don't think he's a LH either but he looked like he had the better of TH all game, esp the one right under the posts.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I was right next to the one where the ref called him. I thought he would give chistolini a roasting as he is still feeling his way although looks a prospect.
For me I would have pdj as the 2nd best scrummaging tight head in England set up. I would have taken him as specialist tighthead with Stevens filling the utility role. Dan cole offers little around the pitch and anchors the scrum well PDJ could do the same. Not many th's are good around the park so scrum is everything. If rugby was a 30 minute game then Julian White would get picked. One of the best tight head scrummagers ever but also one of the worst around the pitch ever
