Hi. Been using it a few weeks now and on the whole it's excellent. Netter than BBC 606 no doubt.

Can I make a suggestion? On the old 606 when you clicked on someones profile you could see a list of the articles they'd created. I know you can find topic lists here but you have to seek them out. I think it would be a nice touch if you could see a list of that persons articles on their main profile page (not comments, no need for that, just articles they've written).

If you go into someones profile and click Statistics, there are links to select all Topics or Posts by the person you are looking at.

I don't think we can get this onto the first profile page (had a look last night) perhaps on of the other admins will have more luck.

Topics is all topics they have posted in, we want just the ones they wrote/started themselves. Not sure if it's possible but would be good.

I'm liking the new portal page, but perhaps you should reconsider which posts to have there at the top. The chat box one makes sense, but not sure about Spam Email. Another thing is, as that page now carries the statistics and who is online etc. You could remove that from the bottom of the home page. It might tidy things up a bit. I don't know anything about how you change the set ups and stuff of the site, so sorry if anything I've said is not possible. thumbsup

Emotions - some people (especially the Female gender!) seem to love them judging by the other chat threads on 606 & MTL, where in some cases the Emotions out number the text!!!

Personally I would restrict them to a few and yes include the laughing one for sure.

However if you want to attract more posters like them you will need to include wine, beer, cake etc. as some posters can't get by without these laughing

Hello sportslover,

We have created a seperate Smiley section for the Tennis guys which has there usual smilies in (minus the wine and cake).

Hopefully that will help them adjust and keep the emoticon clutter for others down.

Can we have a forum dedicated to DwarfTossing. It is after all the greatest spectator sport there is.

Spectator sport?

Whatever you do in the comfort of your own house with Sleepy, Dopey and Bashful is not what I'd regard as 'spectator sport'

THis website would be much better if the layout was not so poor.

If you re-design it like 606 it will be very good, especially if you have proper moderation.

Everyone has been getting a fresh start with the new site.

If problems occur, they will be looked in to and appropriate action will be taken. We have had 4 WUM's and they were all swiftly dealt with.

We have a good team of Moderators and Admins and there is the Report feature that you can use to draw our attention to posts.

If you like we could go with midgetcagefighting. That's also entertaining.

Dunno, i think there would be a 'small' minority interested.

I've always wanted to hire 11 midgets and send them out in place of my sunday league team and see the look on the oppositions faces.

I tried to get a petition raised to include Dwarf tossing and midget cage fighting included in the 2012 olympics. But apparently it isn't very politically correct to chuck midgets around the place. Dunno why.

My next idea is midget bobsledding for the winter games.

bobsled is more of a team event. So 4 midgets riding a freakishly tall bloke (a basketball player might work) down an icy hill.

Coming from bbc 606 (tennis), I find it liberating here, no gang wars, no big-brothering, no vulgar language, just fans chatting about thigns they feel like, I was even able to edit some spelling mistakes just now, keep up the good work!

"Agree with Evanjones, I've signed up for it but it's impossible to get into it. The typical 'forum format' is so generic and annoying that it just feels...clunky and awkward. Part of 606's success is its format, in fact the vast majority of it is, and with so much space taken up by 'banner comments' on 606v2 and other copies, I can't see it being anywhere near as popular as 606."

I saw this on 606 defintely don't agree but does anyone thinks he has a point

Obviously he is entitled to his opinion but I couldn't disagree more.

606 was popular DESPITE its format, not because of it.

The inability to see which topics had been updated since your last visit (unless you remembered the exact time of your last visit), the inability to go directly to the latest unread post, or the last post on a topic, the fact that new posts didn't always appear immediately, all these non-standard or non-generic "features" of old 606 made it VERY difficult to keep up with.

I certainly don't understand his point about "too much space taken up" - to me, that was one of the most annoying parts of old 606, that so much screen space was wasted with large blank areas.

Each to their own though...
