I must admit, the advert being bigger than usual is an annoyance. Not exactly easy to claim it's work related when every page I go to has a massive advert for a boxing match,

Sorry for the delay in sorting that, should be a bit less intrusive now.

Where did the CMS RCT go? Wasn't contravening any house rules was it?

No advertising of other sites that include forums – failure to comply may result in temporary or permanent ban from this site. It is our decision on if we believe the mention of another site is deemed to be advertising.

Re: Feedback
Is CMS a forum = Yes, therefore it's advertising another site which is against site rules.
The thread won't be coming back and any attempts to create a new one will be removed also.

Re: Feedback
I posted here and it was removed. Why was the new chat thread which did not include any names and could not be accused of marketing removed?

Re: Feedback
Words were posted using the initials CMS.
A member had several links to CMS posted on his profile, one of which was showing on the board on that thread as his location.
If you are here to discuss cricket or other topics please do, if you are here only to disrupt and push buttons, well, I dont need to tell you what that will result in.

Re: Feedback
I was just using the chat thread, which is what I mainly use on CMS. I like cricket, but am not a huge poster. If I am going to get into cricket posting, then I would like to start slowly. From my understanding, that poster was banned (and deleted?) and everything on the thread itself was redacted in regards to the initials that you don't like too much. The thread itself was not advertising and all the content was chatty and on topic as much as possible for a random chat thread in an off topic section. When I tried to enquire here as to why it was removed, my post was removed!?

Im not stopping you from doing that.braveneutral wrote:I was just using the chat thread, which is what I mainly use on CMS. I like cricket, but am not a huge poster. If I am going to get into cricket posting, then I would like to start slowly.
Regardless of whether the posts were removed, it kept happening. It is up to the Admin to decide what is deemed advertising.braveneutral wrote:

A member from CMS joined with a link to CMS as his location (and all over his profile) which was showing on the board. That was on the second thread after the first one had already been deleted so it was quite clear what the intention of threads were. Add to that the deliberate three word posts using the initials CMS.
The threads were removed, they will not be returning and any further ones will be removed also.
I dont know about that, but I am answering your queries now.braveneutral wrote:

Re: Feedback
So, thanks for that, maybe you could look at the moderator logs and see what happened? Obviously only for your own advancement as a cohesive unit. Is there anywhere on this site where there is a random chat function?

I see you're from Newcastle Y I Man (should have guessed by your username).
Do you get down the The Riverside much to watch Durham?

Re: Feedback
Not really as there has not been a demand for it. A couple of sections that have fantasy games have a homepage with random chat & banter. There is one in the cricket section.braveneutral wrote:So, thanks for that, maybe you could look at the moderator logs and see what happened? (although my Dad was there when the Queen opened the ground and he shook her hand, he was a manager at the council at the time)

Sorry, this is not a matter of my own interest. The poster that got banned wondered why he was not given some prior notice to his banning.

If the person involved is clearly just spamming the site with advertising then we reserve the right to ban without warning.

That is what I thought. It was not said poster's intention, indeed said poster is a member of nigh on a hundred forums and posts like a machine wherever he goes!

Then he should realise as a member of countless forums that adding in another sites URL on every section of his profile is probably going to result in a banning pretty quickly.

Can we keep this thread for feedback only as mods & admins will be checking this every time a new post is made in case something needs sorting.
Thanks

Nice idea!
YI, would it not have been easier to get rid of the offending posts, rather than the whole RCT? I thought it was a good idea for a thread..

Re: Feedback
PMs stay in your outbox until the person it has been sent to, reads it. If its in the outbox, its unread.
If it stays there for a long time, it means that the other persons inbox was most probably full when you sent it and will now not get it unless you edit it and resend

Sports & Gaming site where I am most of the time, I think something has gone wrong when ever someone types on the main homepage the posts comes up in red. I don't want to scare you guys but I think we're getting attacked by those guys that attacked PS3.
Please fix it guys!!!

I was mod for Sports and Gaming and since Hero and YI joined they thought there were already enough mods to deal with things there so thought there was no point. I agree with them and to be honest I think it's much better being a normal memeber you can do what you like.

Re: Feedback
Admin,
Just a shout to say what a great effort the guys in Horse Racing did on their previews for the Cheltenham Festival. I've used them all week and have had some great success (even if i'm not betting £100's).
Maybe be worth making something like this Global? Especially with the Grand National on the horizon. Would be great to get more interaction and see how others got on!
Just a suggestion!

If we could expand this to other sports then it could be a great addition
Re: Feedback
Could I just request that Mods/Admin actually inform when a thread is to be locked and give reasoning?
Fair play if there has been rule contravention, but making everyone else suffer smacks of mob handedness.
