Sorry - the forum software doesn't allow for that option. I believe you can always delete your own posts but can't delete someone else's.
If you think posts should be removed you'll just have to ask an admin or mod

Why have you deleted the teams from the Premier League, but kept them for the Championship and SPL?

No. Just some idiot complaining that we're talking about things other than golf. God forbid people should communicate as people over this thing.

Re: Feedback
As the football section is relatively quiet at the moment, the admin team felt it was right to merge all the clubs into their respective divisions, allowing everyone to see the posts.
If a mass influx of football fans join, we will reconsider adding the teams back in.

Well the season isn't technically over till the end of May - I think it will be safe enough to put it in the prem though!
You just want a chance to post in that section don't you?!

Do you still have the intentions of attracting more football fans? If so, I might suggest that this new layout in the football forum might put them off...

Re: Feedback
User Name, we won't be introducing a NSFW board for a number of reasons - the main one being that the Admin Team would be unable to monitor it due to being in work ourselves!
Legend, with the relatively low traffic on the football board we felt the separate teams were limiting discussion making the boards even quieter than they may be. If they picked up with new users we may look to reinstate the separate sections (just don't tell Hobo as he spent ages claering them!).
Thanks for the continuing feedback guys, even if we do not take on board a suggestion we give consideration to all. The whole Admin Team appreciate the thought that is put into how we can improve the site.

Re: Feedback
Just a quick one from me - With a smaller number of admins currently and there usually being quite a demand for the chat box, is there anyway of giving moderators the sufficient permissions to open and close it.
If so, I feel it could be considered to alleviate pressure on admins to be about when they don't necessarily have to be.
If it can't be done then fair enough.

Re: Feedback
Hiya Sainty, unfortunately it cant be done that way. It needs to be an Admin to activate & turn off the chat box.

Re: Feedback
As long as we know when the box is wanted before the end of the working day we can always make sure someone is around to turn it on.
I often do it with my phone so can't see the chat, so if someone could post in the chat box thread when it is ready to be closed as well that would be a big help to us!

What I have noticed is that you can activate chatbox as an admin without being in it, that is a good development!

Yeah I can do everything apart from see the chat. If someone posts in the Chatbox thread it is ready to be pulled, it means any admin can do it straight away if we're just passing through!

Re: Feedback
How about putting a time on the Chatbox closing? By that I mean, say if you said 'Chatbox closes at 10:30', then it wouldnt close before then, but could close at any time after? So then if there is a quick close, people are warned.

606v2 has progressed very well since it's birth. Quality work everyone.
Is it me, or has the sections for each club disappeared in the Premier League topic?

When you reply to a thread it automatically adds the thread to the list of "Watched threads"
Is there anyway to turn this off?

Go to your profile and along the top there should be some tabs. Click the tab entitled "Topic(s) being watched."
When you have done that, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Mark All." When you have done that, there should be a button called "Stop watching the selected topics." Click that and it should be done.
Hope this helps

Re: Feedback
What you really need to do is go to your profile and on the "preferences" tab there is a setting called "Always notify me of replies". Set that to "no" and you won't be added to the notification list for any threads you reply to

Re: Feedback
I like the section in the portal that has the most popular topics in. However, as most of these already have 990 posts you cannot reply to them. Alternatively, I was wondering if there was a way of making it to be the most popular topics in the last seven days/ 24hours for example?

It's not too bad. Would like to be able to press a bottom on any page that takes me back to all rugby union posts rather than just hitting home every time and then rugby union. This possible?

Re: Feedback
Yes it's possible. You can always use your browser "back" button ... or at the top and bottom of every thread view page there is what is known as a breadcrumb trail
So in this instance it has links to
606 v2 :: Welcome! :: Introduce Yourself and Feedback.
Rugby threads will be similar

Re: Feedback
You can also use the 'Jump to' feature in the bottom right of the page, this gives you a tree-view of all forums on v2. You can select whichever one you want to and go straight there!

The cricket is certainly much busier - gone from 2000 posts to nearly 3000 in barely a week.
Question - would it be possible to introduce facility to change your vote in a poll - that could be useful if you press the wrong button or find yourself persuaded by the arguments of other posters?

Yes, if you need one doing let me know.
Otherwise, whoever sets up the poll has the facility to add the 'cancel vote' option. (Under the poll section when making the article)

Re: Feedback
YI - thanks, that's helpful.
Would it be worth making the cancel vote option as the default setting for all polls? I would have thought it fairly unlikely that many posters who set up a poll would positively want people not to be able to change their minds.
