I was hit with that stick last year on the rugby board which went something along the lines of "a fan of the perma tanned poofs of wrestling"..

Guys, I'm still having trouble posting on the cricket forum for some reason. More often than not I'll get the no post mode specified message. Any ideas?

My only suggestion would be if you're currently using the quick reply box then maybe try clicking 'POSTREPLY' and writing your posts there?

I have the same problem when I post at work but not at home.

I guess its a firewall thing. I find myself copying my responses before hitting send to make sure I dont have to type things out again if it doesnt work.

I'm liking this forum, pretty interesting with a great range of topics.

I do struggle with posting using my phone though. I'm not sure if it's my phone or the mobile version of the site, but its touchscreen and when the keyboard comes up on the screen is blocks my view of the message I'm writing so I can't really see what I'm doing.

Has there ever been a suggestion to add the forum to the Forum Runner app?

Yeah I disable the mobile version on my phone.

I did that earlier on to post, takes forever to load each page though.

Yeah, I think it's a work thing for me too. Just odd that it happens primarily in the cricket section.

On the main page it says on the right the latest topic of discussion in each mini forum. Any chance we can have the page numbers there also so we can head straight to the last page instead of only being able to go to page 1 of that topic then find the last page? Like we do once we are in a mini forum for example?
Is that clear? And if it is it might just be me being incredibly lazy!

Hi on the gaming section of euro division, marky azzy and zidane are speaking different languages. I've been told speaking another language is not allowed and they are ignoring my warnings can you please tell them off.

Please be aware that personal insults are also against site rules and could result in further action. If you are going to post insults on threads, probably best not to draw attention to it.

I shouldn't have said what I said I am really sorry not an excuse but I'm very passionate about this forum and want everyone to follow rules.

Is this the right place to post if I find someone breaking the rules?

It would be better to use the report post function (the exclamation mark at the top of the post) as that allows us to directly view the post you want us to investigate.

Hi Viva here, I am very interested in becoming a mod on v2. I have been a constant user of this site for over 2 years and have reached over 13k posts.

I love to help my fellow v2ers and want them to feel the same experience I did using this website. So if you need me I am very happy to become mod. Also I know the rules and how things work here.

 

Thanks for the offer viva, we tend to appoint section specific mods where possible to keep things running smoothly. At the moment we don't need any further mods and when we do we will usually look at posters within that section to help out.

We will bear you in mind in the future if needed though.

Don't know whether this is something you can influence, but the mobile version of the site, when you open a thread that has had a lot of replies and so a lot of pages, you have to click 'next' through every page. Is there a 'view most recent first' option?

Did I post this problem on the wrong thread or something?

Sorry no one replied.

The software we use is developed by forumotion who made the original changes.

I agree that the mobile site is not great - I personally use the classic version of the site.

With regards to changes, we have fed it back but its not just about our forum. The changes that forumotion implement effect every forum to some extent.

I don't think anything will change to be honest - it took them two years to get the mobile site working!

If I hear anything I will feedbac on here.

Re: locked and disappearing threads. Is there a better way to address issues within a thread? Like banning troublemakers temporarily. One of mine disappeared yesterday, don't know why.

Normally we remove them while we clean them up, however if we feel it will just fall back in to the same pattern then it is easier to remove them completely.

That was me by the way, I know the Off-Topic section does have the tendency to fall back into becoming the News and Current Affairs section again which we try to guard against so I decided to remove the active threads that were contravening this.

Nothing to do with trouble makers.
