Can't find a more appropriate place for this question: do any of you fine folks know if it's possible to embed this widget into a 606v2 page? I've tried everything to no avail

Re: Feedback
I have been a member on this forum from pretty much the beginning of this site and I have to say (after a while away) I am really disappointed in the level of moderation on the rugby section.
There are some very good moderators but there are a couple who really are extremely poor and bring the level of the forum down. You have one who, if you have a different view, launches into personal attacks (even calling one poster a c*&t) and another who's hypocrisy is beyond contempt and when called out either threatens to ban posters or bans them.
I do believe it may be time to conduct a review of the moderators in this section.
I appreciate the time and effort put in to being a moderator and certainly would not want to be one myself but something has to change as it truly is becoming a poor section on the forum.

Re: Feedback
Hi Billy,
Thanks for the feedback.
I would rest assured that the moderation team is constantly monitored but we really do appreciate that you have highlighted this. It was always going to be a thankless task during the world cup (and 6N to a lesser extent). In the first instance, any examples of over zealous moderating should be reported and should you feel that things havent been dealt with, escalated to RDW (the rugby section admin). If that still fails, then contact one of the founders (Hero or Enforcer and as a last resort me!).
I do want to address something with regards to the moderation.
No one is above the rules on this site. However, in some instances, moderators do act outside the rules (remember that they are posters first, and mods secondly). When this occurs, action is taken. We might not make it a public flogging but we do address everything flagged. WE have demoted moderators in the past and even some admins are now banned from the forum for various indiscretions and behaviour. So please do note that everything is reviewed, just not openly on the site.
Hopefully that answers your question and thanks for posting.

Re: Feedback
I would like to make the point that the Rugby section is incredibly difficult to moderate, and has by far the largest number of difficult posters, looking to aggravate and break the rules than any other section.
The mods there do therefore sometimes lose their temper, in fact, its getting to the point that the constant back and forth is affecting their own lives somewhat. Its completely voluntary this role, hence its important to bear in mind that they are not robots, it takes a lot of guts to choose to moderate, and easy to criticise without taking any responsibility. Trying to work with them as people is important too.

Re: Feedback
I'm getting this weird issue, where on the main page (desktop version) the latest topic that appears in Films is "Hollywood's most troubled productions......." which was last commented on October 7th, whereas three topics have been updated since. These three topics only appear when I go to the Films section.
Other sections seem fine, updating in real time, etc.
Anyone else having this problem?

The site does tend to have the odd freak out every now and then, but things usually go back to normally after.

I used to be able to access 606v2 threads whilst not logged on. However very recently it returns me to the main page when I try to access a thread when not logged on. Not sure if this is going to be a permanent thing or a temporary thing or just a particular platform thing.

Re: Feedback
Who is in charge of Adverts?
I'm quite happy popping on to visit while I'm at work, but the wee ad banner at the bottom has lingerie and I'm getting funny looks form collegues!
Cant we have ads for sports related stuff? or nice cars?
And if anyone says ads are driven by cookies and brower history, I'll need to be having words with IT to see who has been logging onto my machine and searching the interwebs for lacy underwear!!!

That'll be me!
I only ever see adds at the top?
I have the choice of paying a small fee for the forum and have no control of the adverts, or pay a much larger fee and get our own advertising income. For the level of traffic on the forum it's not worth doing the latter.

Mine are at the top. Current one for a statistical analysis tool. Think I should have tigertattie's interests.

Are people fussed about these ads or is there an overwhelming desire for us to take control of them? You'll still get ads...
Being completely honest I know nothing about it so am happy to take the default. It's 6x more expensive too for me to take control (and I currently pay for this site!)

Not something that ever bothers me. I get a box at the top, and a floaty one at the bottom which I close.

I have an add for a local college, so I think they must be picking my history of uneducated posts on here

They don’t bother me. No need to take a premium out unless FES is footing the bill.
No idea why I get scantly clad ladies as I’m on the work machine and my google searches only consist of questions on how to fix a broken spreadsheet
Ps, don’t get ads when I’m on the phone (thank god)
