England vs Argentina - match thread.
First topic message reminder :
My prediction was England by 10, so hopefully the Argentinians give a good account of themselves.
This will have to be a great match to live up to the one we have just seen.

Not wanting to sart a whlle different debate here, but if that was Bakkies botha, would you still have said that?
It doesn't matter whether it was intentional or not, diving in feet first or with your knees is dangerous play and deserves a ban. A player's past record shouldn't come it to whether they get a ban or not. And if your previous record is brought in to it, then lawes doesn't exactly have a clean record.
How many times has he been cited?
Who Bakkies? Twice from what I remember
can we please leave bakkies out of this...he lead with his knees and will be dealt with

England's back line passing is poor, every player has to collect the ball from behind him, no one are able to run onto the ball.

Argentina are just so physical, all the hits they're making they're stopping England dead in their tracks.
Surely they can't keep it up for the full 80??

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
This is about leadership on the field. England can win this if they just show some composure. I'm amazed how poor they are.

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
If england slmehow manage to win this they will have used up a lot of their world cup luck on the other hand if the argies could kick a bit better they would probably already have it in the bag!

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
In fairness to Englands point of view that was a yellow for at least persistent infringing.

Foden has taken some stick. Been Englands best player. Penalty but nothing else. Not supprised they went with the corner with Wilkinsons kicking today

Re: England vs Argentina - match thread.
yellow for the infringing, not for the tackle though, penalty the right call there I think but only just.
Argentina walking a very, very fine line.
And twas Foden tackled not Ashton.
