Union Cane's Prediction League - Season 1
First topic message reminder :

Week Twelve Review
Dirty, cheap shot or opportunistic flash of brilliance?
Ultimately it matters not, the record books show KO4 and Mayweather moves one win away from emulating the great Joe Calzaghe.
Elsewhere there was more great entertainment from Tyson Fury, mixed fortunes for the Smith brothers and a controversial Vegas undercard, but the fight we are all interested in is the battle for the inaugural Union Cane's Prediction League title between coxy0001 and The genius of PBF.
The gauntlet was laid down by coxy0001 with an impressive haul of 12 points, however it wasn't quite enough, the boasts and bravado sounding decidedly hollow now.

I didn't ask him Union.
Did you not listen, I was late for my train.
And risk meeting Steffan?

You would be surprised how many "wasps" that we see are, in fact, classed as hornets. They don't have to be the big b@stards that you occasionally see inthe UK, some of the smaller versions are actually hornets.
You wouldn't want to take your chances with a Japanese Hornet though (vespa mandarinia japonica, for you Scotty). Those bad boys are deadly. The toxin in their sting can kill you even without an allergic reaction. Masato Ono, an entomologist at Tamagawa University, described the sensation as feeling like a hot nail being driven into his leg. Nasty.

Didn't Michael Caine do a film about killer wasps or bees or something?
Not a lot of people know that he never actually said "Not a lot of people know that."

Yeah, you mock him Michaels but he was brave enough to let a Hornet sting him in the leg, whereas you can't look at a tall building.

Funny chaps these scientists. I was on a boat in the Whitsundays and one of the crew was an American Marine Biologist. He deliberately stung himself with the Irukandji Jellyfish to study the efects of the sting. He was bent double with spasms and nearly died. Still got his thesis in though......

I think we should revolt, we are rather good at causing havoc when we want to after all.
Utter disgrace, and i would use far stronger language than that if i could
What are going to do?! Someone write a thread, we should stand shoulder to shoulder and drive the insurgent from our ranks!

European Hornets: Their queen measures, at least 26 mm but not more than 36 mm in length. The workers as well as the males are usually smaller than their queen. Their wings are red-orange and yellow-striped abdomen with deeply indented eyes. They are normally larger than wasps but a bit smaller than the Asian hornets.
