Union Cane's Prediction League - Season 1

Week Twelve Review
Dirty, cheap shot or opportunistic flash of brilliance?
Ultimately it matters not, the record books show KO4 and Mayweather moves one win away from emulating the great Joe Calzaghe.
Elsewhere there was more great entertainment from Tyson Fury, mixed fortunes for the Smith brothers and a controversial Vegas undercard, but the fight we are all interested in is the battle for the inaugural Union Cane's Prediction League title between coxy0001 and The genius of PBF.
The gauntlet was laid down by coxy0001 with an impressive haul of 12 points, however it wasn't quite enough, the boasts and bravado sounding decidedly hollow now.

Thanks as ever for devoting your time to this Union. Awful last two weeks for me, but nonetheless I'm ready to battle relegation next season

I don't want to win 4th like this Union, feels like default to me. Lets have a play off for everyone level on points.

Re: Union Cane's Prediction League - Season 1
If it was for the Title, or for the Top 20 positions then I would have a play off, but it seems silly to extend the season when we already have our champion and the line-up for next time. (Not that things 'seeming silly' has stopped me before.)
After Thursday's goings on we've been banned from Europe so it's not like you're taking a Champions League place off me.

The Genius of PBF - Prediction League Winner
The last few months have been busy as hell but I wanted to prove a point to everyone that I am the best and smartest poster on 606v2 boxing forum. Many thanks to Union Cane in sorting this all out and I think we can all agree that he has done one hell of a job.
I was accused of cheating and insulted many times by a certain poster but I took it on the chin and proved him wrong...Hopefully he will learn to keep his mouth shut in future, he was lucky I was busy all the way throught the competition otherwise the winning margin would have been larger and more embarrassing for him.
I am getting married soon but hopefully I will be on here longer now that im free for a while to teach you all about the sport of boxing....Hope you all enjoyed the biggest sporting event of the year this weekend and look forward to many great boxing fights in the coming months on Primetime and HBO. Lets make 606v2 not only the best boxing but best sports forum in the world. I would also like to pay tribute to Human Windmill, Hero and the other admins for doing a wonderful job.
You can all pay your tributes to me the undisputed boxing champion of 606v2.

Nothing finer than a humble and gracious victor. Congratulations mate, suspect Coxy would have been even more intolerable had he won it so guess we should be grateful to you.

Re: Union Cane's Prediction League - Season 1
As i said above in the lead up to the final week i was banned and had to do work all week (no afternoons off on mousebreaker.com).
I'm not making excuses you know... but i would've won without so many distractions. Not to mention the emotional toll that occurred for being banned for zero reason.....

To be honest, i think you got yourself banned all by yourself...
And one word to describe you:
Quitter.
And Rowley, i'm making a joke about the fight that happened recently (which has slipped my mind of who it involved) where they said "i'm not making excuses... 'but'..."!

To be fair that could be any fight ever, think Haye Wlad could fit the bill, just avoid putting spoilers of your toes on the thread mate

How can I be a quitter when I am the champ...If im a quitter then your a loser...I had all 12 weeks of being busy which is why I barely posted...you have no excuses.
Always said im a better predictor and now I have proved it.

Correct me if i'm wrong but we weren't talking about such fights as Willie Casey v. Daniel Kodjo Sassou which would've given us any further insight as to who might win and why.
And by all means feel free to spend another 12 weeks not posting

Re: Union Cane's Prediction League - Season 1
Congratulations to all, especially the two worthy adversaries who somehow managed to edge ahead of me, including the new champ. Though to add some final day controversy I predicted a draw on Greene-Thompson and conveniently that was the only fight cancelled...is that foul play I can smell?
Looking forward to next season

If I was knowsit and pulled out such a commanding lead, I would have just copied the predictions of my nearest rivals.
