The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the collage of the captains of the World Cup Quarter Finalists pictures on the bar. We've got Sam Warburton, Brian O'Driscoll, Lewis Moody, Thierry Dusautoir, John Smit, James Horwill, Felipe Contepomi and Richie McCaw.
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Well done Wales. Much the better side and more deserving of a spot in the semi-final.
Disappointment for Ireland. Has the feeling of the end of an era.

It's hard to know who to support now. I think I will go for New Zealand. They know this gut-wenching feeling in World Cups we now have all too well, and their home fans have given magnificent backing to Ireland throughout. With everything else, including the earthquake in Christchurch, it's hard to begrudge them anything. I'll be cheering them on from this point in.

Indeed it does but then again it could be the start of a new one, we have alot of talent.
Heslip looks gutted he can barely speak in his interview.

Haven't read back so sorry if I'm repeating what has already been said.
Well done Wales. Worth every point of that win. Out played us in pretty much every department. Will be cheering you on in the next game, and (hopefully) the next too!
So disappointed but so proud of my lads too.
Come on England!!!

I'll be interested to see if people blame Kidney after this.
Just off the phone with my sister. She is devastated. Said some things she'll probably laugh about in years to come.

So Ulster get trounced at home, the Northern Ireland football farce continues, Ireland lose and I enter the kitchen in search of sollace in the form of bacon. Search unsuccessful.
Seriously what is the point?

I know what you mean WillyG.
All our hopes for sporting success this weekend now rest on the wee fella's rugby team.
Although we did have bacon sarnies for brekky. Sure I'll see if there's any left and make you one just to cheer you up!

Wales were awesome tonight. I hope all the Welsh are enjoying a .
Best of luck for the rest of the tournament but on that form they shouldn't fear anyone, and I mean anyone.
Time for Ireland to lick the wounds and rebuild for the 6N. There's plenty of positives and no need to be too despondant even if it hurts like feck right now

I don't think so, he had us peak at the World Cup and got our first win against a 3N side outside Ireland since the 70s. This has been our best ever World Cup on paper.

Rodders. There's still the Heino to look forward to soon as well. Irish teams could have an advantage in that because they'll get their best players back sooner. Oh! That means T. will be back in Ospreylia soon!

Penfro's very happy as well, I've just spoken to him. I didn't see him on the telly but it's been sky+ so he can review it when he eventually gets home....! Now for the next match - Allez les Bleus!

Me neither. He got us to a good place and we topped a very tough group. We came across and unfire Welsh side and you just have to hold your hands up.
I think we got some things wrong with selection and tactics but I think ultimately Wales were stronger and have peaked at the right time.

Yeah I think he should be the one to bring us to the next world cup, Expert at bringing in young players which is what we need.
I wonder who our next captin will be?
