Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Shane Williams above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Ale cuppa coffee mug guinness cider raspberry RedWine Bubbly

If you have a place like the RDS you need a strong ref, not a Scotch ref.

I know it's only Aironi they are playing, but Edinburgh are tearing it up. I am getting the feeling with them they are very close to being a really good side who could be competing for a Rabo play off spot at the end of the season and could also make the Heino knockout stage this time around.

That would be some turn around for Embra, Pete, they were 10th before tonite - sadly I think that the Blues will be too much for them in the Heino Sad

I'm not convinced by the Blues Asbo. From the matches we played against both team in this seasons Heino, Edinburgh look like the side with more about them.

Just watching the Ulster vs. Scarlets game now. Iongi just got the seocnd try to make it 10-0. My first point is that it looked like a very forward pass to him and my second point is that was a dreadful impersonation of an attempt at a tackle on him from Gilroy.

Evening all,

Just back form Ravenhill.

It wasn't anywhere near as cold as it was earlier today which was a bit weird.

I won't give away too much about the game if LDPCP is watching it but I totally agree about the 2nd try. I was sat right in line with it and thought it was sooo far forward it couldn't have been missed. I was beginning to think I was wearing my extra strong Ulster specs.

Maybe Roland thought he had to make his peace with the Welsh?

Very Happy

Hi MrsP- good to see Brian and the lad earlier! He gave me a Bounty bar. I'm not sure why.

I thought it should have been a really easy spot for the ref to be honest MrsP as the player who passed it was on the 22 yard line and Iongi caught it about 2 yards in front of it.

Good win anyway, given how the game started. Am 28 minutes in at the moment, Scarlets 10-3 up.

We recorded the game to watch later but could you tell me who threw the pass that was intercepted for the first try?

It happened so near the start that I didn't notice.

MrP has just been telling me about the Bounty Bar!

It was mine!!!!!!

I think it actually put him off his game as I don't think he was as effective as usual tonight.

Try for 1F. Great break from Marshall, he's had a decent first 35 minutes here, as has Spence, who seems to have been involved a huge amount in both attack and defence.

I'll say now that Rolland picked up a lot of forward passes but I think he may have missed one for our second try too.

Good result for both. Not as I predicted, a high scoring draw, but I'm happy. Some Scarlets fans have been very uncomplimentary of Roland. "Pinged us off the park until 10 minutes to go then gave us everything to even it up once it was too late". I'm prepared to take that from where it came, but was he that bad?

No, not at all Glas. He had a good game and his biggest mistake cost us a try! (Forward pass).

I think he did ok- penalty count was in our favour but we were the ones making the running for much of the game. I think he was fair.

Thought as much. Let's face it any ref would have it and an Irish ref well, they were just asking for it. Whistle

Leinster smashed the Blues Thomond. Champion's form. Did I tell you the Blues are pants and that Carr is international class?

I think the Commonwealth games boxing commentator is fantastic. Real old school. Fair play. I thought he was going to ejaculate when Ferris scored his second.

I will admit I only caught glimpses of tonights game. I have been coughing up gunk and drinking Lemsip and other concoctions for most of the night but I wouldn't have said footballer is the first thing that comes to mind when I see him play. Great pace, a poor kicking game, ok defence and has never consistently scored against top teams.
