The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Doug Howlett above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Ulster team named. Great to see a start for young McAllister at loosehead. In ahead of Tom Court. He has a big future ahead of him.

Feic off Stag, that's not old. My father's 85. He's getting on a bit but even he doesn't think he's old
I don't think it would be a real problem putting you to shame with the drink anyways.

That's great news Lucky.
Congrats.
will that bring down your insurance or anything? or how does it work in the UK?
When I passed mine, I rang up my insurance who I had only renewed with 3 months earlier and they refunded me some money

Ah right. Over here it's a case of if you've passed your test you are less of a risk of crashing and therefore it's cheaper.
Yeh mate, I am good just mental in work and (I know I keep harping on with no one listening) but the lack of mobile version means I am not enticed in after work hours.
and the whole Chairperson of the band thing is consuming my spare time.
Bet you wish you didn't ask now
Nah, I am good chief, just looking forward to a couple of days off over christmas to drink and eat rings around myself

The lack of a mobile version is a pain, you're right. It would be so much easier to post here when you're out and about if there was a good mobile version. But you never know, we might get one in time for Christmas!

Fellating a is perfectly legal in the UK, but not in Ireland, which is a strange one. You can't roger a banshee over there, either.

Sorry to eavesdrop.......
I took my test many years ago when due to a shortage of examiners they drafted some in from another area. I drove like a complete dipstick and was sure I had failed. The examiner then asked me to pull over and wait - after 5 minutes of tension he said "I seem to have lost my bearings, you couldn't get us back to the test centre could you?" True story and I'm convinced the only reason I passed.
Anyway - congrats and happy motoring - mirror, signal, manoeuvre and all that.

Ha! Any particular ones?
I've done the Amlin ones already, leaving my HEC and Footy ones till tomorrow.
I feel guilty in the Amlin one actually, I've gone for an Exeter win instead of the Dragons and it isn't sitting right with me at all!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
ah no Lucky, how can you pick against your own team?! (unless...reverse psychology?)
I have to pick the Scarlets even when me head is telling me they'll likely lose (like against Ulster last week).

Lucky well played mate. Do you intend to buy a car now?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Hello pub. I am recovering from a cold I must have picked up in Dubai (not gonna be making the London meet tonight ). Still, it was a great trip again, especially with England defending their title. There were also plenty of upset results along the way.
If you can find a link, watch the Fiji v England semi final. It was a cracking game of 7s with drama right to the end. Plus it shut up the wum of a Jock stood behind us who was yelling for Fiji and denigrating England every time we had the ball. For you bud -
And how Wales managed to lose their q/f against Argentina was baffling. The Welsh fans were holding their heads in shock and disbelief.
And congrats to lucky on the driving test. I hope everyone's travel arrangements work out over the weekend
