First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing pictures of Doug Howlett above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Alan Quinlan is very honest about Munster and Ireland. It's not something you see from ex players when commentating on their own team. Good to see. Priestland misses a penalty

Shocking try to give away. Not good enough. Zebo and Chambers could both have done better. 5-0

Bowden misses an easy pen. Dead centre, 30 yards out, shanked it.

Not give, we come back for the penalty for the hit on Bowden, whop appears to have gone off injured. Armitage taking the kick at goal.

Not even a yellow given for the tackle. Not happy!!!

On the replay it look as if his hand was in contact with the ball when it was grounded but there was an argument as to whether he had control of it.

It was the sort of one you tend to get given at home but not away.

Another penalty and a try in quick succession for Racing!!! Sad

Hala'ufia will be getting cited after this game. High swinging arm to Racing 15. That'll be him missing another 6 matches and Booth has pulled him straight off and put Gibson on.

14-10 Racing at the break.

Could go either way this. Racing dangerous in attack, we need to finish the chances we are creating.

I thought your boys were more dangerous, Racing only try was a well executed counter-attack but they seem to lack ideas with the ball in hand and kicked too much. hernandez being replaced is probably a good thing for them.

Munster win. The Scarlets supposed "lovely backplay" went nowhere Wink . Their try coming from a Munster mistake. Munster were poor again but you take 2 HC away wins any way you can.

Scarlets were 'Munstered' but Munster still get away with sealing off at the breakdown. The 'two man into the tackle' carry always ends up with the non ball carrier slumping over the ball carrier preventing the oppo competing mad When the pen stats came up at one point, my mate said "11 to Scarlets, 7 to Munster, and 94 missed"

Oh, and does the 'BJ' in BJ Botha mean Be Jaaysus?

In all seriousness, Munster still have the nous in this competition.

Scarlets were guilty of several missed penalties at the breakdown. Mainly not rolling away. They should have been stamped on. Teach them a lesson. Munster did get away with some things but it balances out over a season.

The amount of bitterness Munster get is unreal. It's not like they're that good!

He's still a great player. But given he spent so much time on the treatment table in his last season at Ulster, it wasn't as much of a blow to see him leave as you'd imagine.

Thom - I'm bantering too Wink.BJB had a good game, hence my moniker for him. Scarlets (and many others) need to understand what it takes to succeed in this competition. Despite the 'romance' of Toulouse rugby, they are one hard nosed, cynical team thumbsup

You're going to have to give us something more to go on.

Hope the big meet is going swell. Decent win for Munster today though I still have a hunch Scarlets will qualify.
