First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the wedding pictures of Dan Carter and Honor Dillon above the bar! And if anyone tells the Australian Womens' Weekly that KiwiRedDevil's Mum smuggled a camera into the service* there'll be hell to pay - they paid a fair amount for the exclusive Wink Run

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

* Note to any lawyer-y types, that's a joke and is completely and utterly false, Mum forgot to put the camera in her handbag

Another pen for Niall O'Connor. Connacht lead 16-10. A big big upset on the cards.

Niall O'Connor is playing pretty well. His defence could be better though.

I'm so, so pleased to see O'Connor playing so well for Connacht. The lad got some real stick when he was at Ulster. The weight of expectation was too much. This move has been the making of him.

Has he been doing well in all their games Notch? I have only seen him in HC action but he has done well anytime I have seen him.

Yeah, he's been doing pretty well. He'll never be ROG (that type of player though) but he is a very effective player for Connacht.

That's untrue, I've always been supportive of all our players.

I think at worst I said he wasn't playing well enough to be selected.

Not anywhere near as much stick as he would have got if we hadn't got the 4th try!

I'm a huge Trimble fan but he has had a couple of moments like that near the start of other matches, hasn't he?

Quite right MrsP. And to think there were those this week who would have him at 13. Never has had the best of hands. His forte is his strength and speed.

Connacht giving this everything.

He nearly repeated it second time around! Lucky we got away with it, just the other six tries to make for that butchered one.

He'll be back in contention for Ireland now. Not sure how we pick our back three!

I bet they'll move someone to centre. Bowe or Fitz or Earls. But then it's still tough to pick 2 from 3 when you throw Trimble in too.

11. Fitzgerald
12. Wallace
13. Earls
14. Trimble
15. Kearney

That's that sorted. No need for further discussion in the run up to the Six Nations then. OK

Paddy Wallace isn't that young, Keatley would be an option if Munster gave him gametime there.

Not a bad display by Leinster I suppose, at least for the first 65mins.

You'd have to agree though that we showed them the way earlier, no?
