First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the picture of Maxime Medard* above the bar!

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

* While the other suggestion of Owens, Thomas and Hughie had merit, I couldn't face having Hughie's mug on the wall Wink

Green Dragon Award, Dreamer? We worked towards that last year and got awarded it the week before Christmas! Very Happy

I don't want to say it was all down to me, but yeah, it was all down to me.

Just de man to ask this question.

Do you think that a posh English Tory boy, is going to help his cause any, by giving Scotland an ultimatum, on voting for its own Independence?

Is there History there, or something?

So sad!

I did MrsP. I knew it was happening. If I could have afforded it, Id have been to Ulster like a light and going to it. His (well off) friends were there to ease the pain.
It was necessary. He must not go totally reclusive. Theirin lies danger.

I love the way he always protects those he loves...

Some of the nasty tabloid papers tried to misconstrue and blacken it... But.

He loved them both.

He's a cantankerous aul phhoker. A perfectionist. But he always minds those he loves. And protects them like a demon. I can relate to that.

I think this defines it.

Stag I think you would struggle with Netflix if that is your normal download speed but speed tests need to be performed at different times of the day.

Does Youtube work fine for you or is it slow loading.

Personally I'd rather watch Bath than anyone, but then again I love watching rugby more than anything else.......

There's only one way to sort this out...... FIGHT!!!! boxing

OK, and my answer is.... go to watch 2 neutrals play.

Mornin.
Ive had enough of watching neutrals live, this (last) year. If my team are not playing, Im not orsed really.
I will however, watch any game I can get, via streaming. Anything. Jeff, PRO12 and TOP 14.

Yea I agree with that.

Lets talk in specifics: Munster v Castres kicks off at same time as Toulouse v Connacht. I can watch Munster play on tv in an Irish bar in France, or I can go to Toulouse v Connacht.

Half of me is thinking this. Big HEC match could define Munsters season.

chin Hmmmm, a tough one indeed Stag, but IF Bath were in Munster's shoes it would be no contest - even though Connacht are my "second team" - if Munster take all 5 points against Castres a home QF is within reach, statistically speaking, that gives Munster a good shout for a SF place and anything can happen from there.

Pub & TV for me, but ultimately only you will know which is the right choice, maybe it's just a bit early for making the decision?

I don't want to say it was all down to me, but yeah, it was all down to me.

ha nice one Lucky! We're already level 2, aiming for level 3 this year.

And bore da/good morning all.

Stag - part of me says for you to really go to the Tolouse game but I know if I was in your position and the Scarlets were the one on tv....I'd be very, very tempted to stay in the pub. Maybe go watch Tolouse and make sure you get good updates on your phone??

Half of me is thinking this. Big HEC match could define Munsters season.

The other half of me is thinking this. Why fly all the way to Toulouse and not go to the match.

More information required:
Is the match ticket free?
What's the price of pints (a) at the ground and (b) at the pub?
Can you record the Munster match for later viewing? -Edit - too slow typing, Asbo beat me to that one

The cost and beer quality factors do need to be included in consideration Smile
