The Wales vs England bickering thread, 2012 - PONIES ALLOWED!
First topic message reminder :
OK, every year we see threads that actually contain really good rugby discussion derailed by the ongoing Wales vs England bickering and WUMMING! I will name no names. I guess we have all been guilty .
Since most of the general bickering comes from the respective fans of Wales and England ; I thought I would create a thread for it in an effort to keep decent rugby discussion relatively WUM free in other threads.
So I will begin, An article in the Western Mail today pointed out how England are copying Gatlands youthful approach with a squad that has an average age of 25 and 428 caps between them.
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/rugbynation/rugby-news/2012/01/12/analysis-new-look-england-follow-youthful-wales-lead-91466-30105333/
Wales probable squad (once you have taken out Shane and Wellies from the World cup squad with their probable replacements) lines up at the same average age and about 820 caps between them. England are copying Wales' approcach but are way behind. Clearly all things point to a wales victory in HQ this year.

Please may I emphasise that this is a bickering and banter thread, whilst mild wumming and banter are allowed please try not to stray over the line of decency.

Morganweg- Well if you can believe that Wales are 'Worldbeaters' on such meagre pickings then yep' i';; talk up my World cup winning team who are also 6 nations champions and the only team from these islands to beat SH teams home and away, so my reality is a lot better, and more real than yours!!

I don't believe Wales are world beaters though... Jeez, one mini purple patch almost 10 years ago and you think it's your god given right to be the worlds best team forever after. Arrogant, delusional, warped, etc..

Ah we have actually beaten Australia in Australia in Sydney and in New Zealand in Rotarua, Havent won in NZ or SA yet and England have fair play.

Home and away Morgannwg, home and away. You can't do more than that. Unlike Wales who lost of neutral ground and at home. In fact when was the last time your boys beat one of the SH teams? My knowledge of ancient history isn't strong unfortunately.

You don't play Australia regulary so you can't beat them regualry. Only New Zealand can claim that.

We can only beat them when they show up to play us Morgannwg. We've beaten them home and away, and seem to own them at rugby world cups. We regularly beat them, as opposed to having one streaky win dating back 5 years Morgannwg.
Not quite sure why you are looking to try to deny this obvious fact. It must really rile you to think of England's success?

Can you put the banner ads in a spoiler tag please? There's nothing like a full-colour, flashing animation to shout "Work unfriendly".Y I Man wrote:Guys, we are trying to keep this forum as work safe as possible.

Unfortunately not, SaM.
That is beyond our control as they are thrust upon us by the hosting site and are now charging a bomb to remove them. (because of how busy the site now is)
All we can do, is replace them with our own adverts which covers the cost for removing the default ones.
The advantage of this, is that we control the adverts so that you dont get the misleading ones that flash and say "click here you have won a prize" etc

Only kiddin Y I Man! I realise ads are a necessary evil for maintaining a site like this.
However, I might blame you lot for Chisora v Klitschko being burnt onto my retinas over the last few days

So if the site is so busy that removing the ads is expensive, and you're posting your own, then there must be a tidy dollar to be made there Y I?

The Quails good, Caviar ok, but those lazy, pesky Beaters that we imported from Wales for the hunting are a waste of space, i'll have to send them back as soon as!
Mind you they might come in handy . Anyone for Target practice! See who can get back to Wales in one piece. Tally-ho,

Season is over glas, and the quality of the shooting depends on where you are shooting. I had a few brilliant days at castle hill on exmoor, and some not so good days at a pikey shoot in Dorset.
Not such a fan of caviar so I can't really comment.

Again, it depends on what type of tweed you're buying and where you're buying it eg in England we have more retail options than tk max, primark and lidl.
I wear berretta, moleskin plus fours which ain't cheap but I suspect you get a lesser pair for about £120 so pretty cheap

I likes me moleskins gov. Only been able to by them since paying the house off though so lacking as many as I'd like to own. Not made of money here in very west Wales.

Damngoodoval- I think you are denigrating the Welsh culture just mentioning those retail outlets because there are far more to choose from in the 'Principality' that just scream class, such as Matalan and Aldi and even George at Asda, so don't belittle these people as they have a wonderful choice of 'Leisurewear' and Lycra, and i've heard tell that Next are even thinking of putting a bridgehead in to Cardiff, but hey they might be seen as too 'Toffee nosed ' for our Proletarian brothers over Offa's dyke!!

2003, obviously owned them.
2007, completely owned them.
Owned them home and away since.
Remind me of Wales' record against Australia recently? Or perhaps TO could just post a representative image of a pony doing a crap.
