The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
First topic message reminder :
2013 bickering thread
OK, every year we see threads that actually contain really good rugby discussion derailed by the ongoing Wales vs England bickering and WUMMING! I will name no names. I guess we have all been guilty.
Since most of the general bickering comes from the respective fans of Wales and England ; I thought I would create a thread for it in an effort to keep decent rugby discussion relatively WUM free in other threads.
Let it commence

Re: The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
The eggy flavour in ales is most likely caused at the pub, by sulphide chemicals used to clean the pumps & pipes. Especially if low beer turnover is a problem.
Kingsholm Inn pours gallons of Doombar on match day, so always freshly pumped, and always tastes excellent.
Try Dombar in a different pub to see if it tastes any better.

So what do you call a multi coloured, flammable poisonous gas that has a characteristic odor?

It's been very quiet here recently. Is there an Eton Wall Game tournament on or something?

The bickering is now taking place on the 6Ns buildup thread. It would appear it's difficult to contain.Luckless Pedestrian wrote:It's been very quiet here recently. Is there an Eton Wall Game tournament on or something?

Well I must say how disappointed I am with the English posters on these boards. Wales lose, England win, and there's been no gloating or crowing whatsoever!
For shame.

Ah that is because we could use the Leicester, London Irish and London Welsh loses in retaliation.

Nah, those results were just part of the cunning plan to increase Welsh frustration by allowing them to think they aren't as bad as they thought and then seeing them hammered in their next game.

It's a new tactic Lucky. They've worked out that expressing sympathy at Wales's plight is even more irritating than gloating

Re: The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
Gloating is all well and good, but the margins at this level are so tight, you'd be setting yourself up for a fall pretty damn quickly.
England-Ireland could well end England's relatively short run of wins. Wales have some real class players and could potentially win every game going forward in the 6 Nations, and England lose them all!
There was very little tubthumping from the Welsh fans prior to this tourny, (indeed they were more pessimistic of Wales chances than many England fans )and equally not a great deal of over-exuberance from the England fans following the England win over NZ.
Of course hostilities can and will recommence prior to the Wales-England game where England will run rampant and score more tries than have ever been scored before

The Wales - England match won't even be a contest. An away win is guaranteed. England are a shoo-in to win at a ground where they've only won once in ten years.

I thought Wales played very well in the 2nd half, its just a shame for them that they are just to arrogant to realise that they don't have a divine right to win games in Cardiff and that they have to play the full 80mins.
Telfer was right in many ways although he is a half wit, they are lazy, and possibly stupid when you consider the talent they have man for man.

That depends, we seem to be able to up our game against them if it means we can stop them picking up the GS!

Well that’s another issue Scarlet, they are meant to be professionals and should raise their game against all opponents and not just the old enemy.

If Wales can get the current monkey off their backs - 8 losses - with a heroic victory in Paris - then I can see them finishing very bloody well indeed

The Welsh players are the same - the leadership and confidence are gone at the moment. They were more than the sum of the parts now they are less
They are capable of getting back into the game but its going to take a hell of an effort and I dont think its going to be this year or the next

To be honest the Welsh seem to have real issues in games unless we are labels the underdogs. I remember Toby Booth saying something along the lines of "It is easy to get yourself motivated to play a big team, it is alot hard to get motivated to play an average side" (right after London Irish lost to the Scarlets), that seems to be the mentallity in Wales. Fortunately France are a big team, so fingers crossed we can raise our game for this weekend, but if we don't then the next big team is England on the closing weekend.

I don't see why it can't happen sooner - it was only 12 months ago they GS winners!
One decent game, the belief comes back (along with some of their injured first choice players) and BOOM!
I'm really crap at this bickering...

Wales just need a confidence boosting win and they will be away, that backline might not be that subtle, but theres no way it won't score tries. As long as the forwards front up they will be fine.
Now, that was far too nice for this thread, let me see... How about:
