The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of
ST DAVID, THE Prince of Wales and WALE'S CAPTAIN
Happy St David's day

Bath are the new Aquae Sulis, I believe Engelbert opened at Aquae Sulis in 89AD.
Apparently he smashed it, after two numbers the mosh pit looked like a butchers apron.

Scottish rugby is on the up-and-up As, I dread to think where Wales would be without all their English mercenaries.

Amazing drink. I had a few in one of my locals on my first night out from my "holiday" and today I bought some more in my local Tescos (other supermarkets are available). First time I tried it the other night too. Lovely drop.

Made it home fine. Chickened out and hit the petrol station almost immediately after leaving the stadium. Solid performance. Some very pleasing back play.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Good Morning Everyone!
Correct Glas.
The Waratahs first - but they are so frustrating to watch. Brilliant one week; abysmal the next. Always "one game short" year in year out
Unlike what people say about NSW folk, I have no hatred of Queenslanders, (in fact I love the place and could almost live there if it didn't rain so much) and I was very happy to see them win last year.
I could almost have The Western Force as my 2nd Oz team (Gran did nursing there and an aunt lived in Perth also)
The Brumbies and The Rebels would be my least favourite franchises (but no vicious, seething hatred or anything)... even though NSW gets a lot of ACT players back and forth.
Then torn between the Crusaders and the Highlanders. Some family connections with Southland and Otago. Although most lived in and around Chch and the hinterland. The other brothers were already farmers in the mid to South Canterbury area, i.e. south-west of the city towards the foothills of the Alps. So probably feel more akin with Canterbury - but also want to see the Highlanders do well.
The Cardiff Blues in Pro-12 and HEC but could in theory be following Connacht or Ulster having ancestors in Donegal and Enniskillen.
But I also have relos in Scotland and England (soft spots for Devon and Cornwall, West Sussex - West Coast of Scotland); however, my loyalties lie with the most recent connection prior to emigrating to Oz or NZ. Make sense?

Great game this morning between the Highlanders and Crusaders, 27-24 to the Southerners. Slightly farcial ending, the scoreboard clock hadn't stopped for stoppages so the Highlanders kicked the ball out several times thinking game over, only for the lineout to form.

No thanks Mai Linh, they're not my bags. They belong to Warren Gatland... I think. He's just ducked into Reception.
You'll have to check with him first.

So, Andrew Trimbles try last weekend got voted the try of the round by fans. I'm not so sure, I think Lee Jones' try in there was better. Nice dummy by Trimble like, but off turnover ball against a very tired, disorganised defence. More oppurtunistic than anything?

Quite a few London Irish fans in the pub here ahead of the game. Jeez, we need a win today, with Falcons getting ever closer to us.

That's what Malzieu does though. Such a hard player to bring down.
I suppose Williams try was also worth a shout, given he stripped the ball, chipped and gathered to score. I only saw the first 25 minutes of Italy v Ireland, so missed most of the tries in that one.
