The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Millennium Stadium Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has teleported itself inside Millenium Stadium this week to see if the men in red can manage a Slam. There's also TVs showing the other 6N matches, the U20s and Womens' matches, Super XV, the "Classic" match and LV= Cup action.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Mervyn Davies and Jock Hobbs above the bar!

Brilliant.
Afternoon all, still suffering a wee bit from Dragons v Blues and the Welsh game. Think I might stick to one night a week tops of pickling myself.

Cheers Asbo, Gibbo. There was snow when I was born apparently. It was the Thursday after Wales had secured a Grand Slam beating France in Cardiff. You may remember a tackle (shoulder barge) by JPR in the corner which would see at least a yellow nowadays.

Id miss him. It brightens up Dragons games for me...
Rev for Big Bruvver! Or is it over now? Never watched it. The Dutch started all that craic. Typical.

Happy Birthday Glas. Hope you've had a wonderful day and are just settling down to a hog roast with all the trimmings.
Sad news about Jim Stynes. He was probably the best Irish import to play Australian Rules and the first ever 'foreigner' to win the Brownlow Medal in 1991. Victorian of the Year 3 times (2001, 2003 and 2011), MVP award in '91, Melbourne Demons Best & Fairest 4 times (voted by the players), the All-Australian award twice and he also received the Order of Australia in 2011.
On top of this all he founded The Reach Foundation which helps struggling teenagers and is still thriving today.
He will be greatly missed.

Anyhooo, my boy played rugby again today, and his team won by a resounding 20-0. they scored 4 tries and dominated the scrums and breakdowns. Amazingly they did not throw into the line out once, every time the opposition had poassession they were tackled and lost the ball.
My boy's team got a new tighthead and they obviously worked on their scrums during the past week, they simply pulverised the opposition.
It was truly an exciting game to watch, still no converstion kiced over but hey it is difficult not to run next to the side line and cheer these oung boys on.
Here is a nice action photo for MrsP.

You might want to wait till he is 13 before you give him a professional contract, let the man grow some hairs first.
