Damn you, was hoping he would drop to the bears, I somehow have completely lost my list of players to take and he was the only name stuck in my head.Virgil_Caine wrote:The Atlanta Falcons select Benjamin Ijalana, OT/G, Villanova

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
Right,
With the 64th and final pick of the 606v2 mock draft (and my 100th post), the Green Bay Packers select...
James Carpenter, OT, Alabama.

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
And that folks is a wrap... I wonder how our mock will do in the prediction contest?
And only one RB taken... shows the devaluation of the position in the current NFL.

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
It more shows that there's not as much quality in the running back position this year as in other years, it's also related too teams needs. It's also not helped by people claiming that to win the league you have to have a quality quarterback and therefore a quality passing game.

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
Leshoure will definitely go in the 2nd, either by trade or someone taking him as BPA. I think our mock had a lot of people looking at teams need then taking the best fit, so had a few odd picks

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
I was tempted... he was number 2 on my board for the final pick, but I really wanted a tackle and I guess thats where I'm not truly the Green Bay management who will just take the BPA rather than target needs when suitable players/value is available like I prefer to

Re: 606v2 Mock Draft
With Starks, Grant and Jackson the Packers are pretty well stocked for RB I reckon. I was going to take Carpenter for the Steelers, but the size of that NT from Hampton is incredible he weighs 345lbs! Seen a few scout reports that he could be ideal as long as he drops about 15lbs, and if any organisation can help a player with concerns its the Steelers

I'm hoping the Dolphins can trade down and pick up Leshoure in the second round.
