The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Mexico City Rugby Cantina
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has teleported to Mexico City for the first qualifying match for RWC 2015. There's also TVs showing Aviva Premiership, Rabobank Pro 12 and Super XV action.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of the Grand Slam Winners or Dan Carter who returns to rugby this weekend.

I think it was in the Daily Telegraph ? Basically someone has worked out that 1976 was the best year to be a child .
I didn't agree , so i posted a thread in Off Topic were you can say what was your favourite year growing up

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Mexico City Rugby Cantina
I was born in 76. I can't remember it, but am reliably informed that at 3 months I was with my family on the storm beach at Amroth because the tide was right in. My mother was feeding me and a wasp came by causing her to panic, drop me and for me to roll down the pebbles into the sea chased by my 6 and 8 year old brothers.

If I could manage to wrangle a job here then I'd stay in Chester for the summer. Otherwise it's back to Ireland after I get back from Tanzania until August when hopefully I'll be helping out with a few summer camps here in Chester, in Somerset and one on the Isle of Wight.
The Royal Bath and West Showground in or near Shepton Mallett I believe.

That reminds me of when Spike Milligan was given some lifetime achievement award and they showed him a special video tribute Prince Charles had recorded for him. Spike's response: "Little grovelling b@stard."

I think I'll take you up on that as I might have a week or so to kill between the Isle of Wight and that and I really can't afford to go all the way back to Chester.

Afternoon.
Back in Wales. Not had a shower for 36 hours and been stuck on a plane for thirty of those hours. Horrific. Still on the plus side, I can tick another continent off the list.
Time for a wash. Glad I am back for Dragons v Connacht on Friday. I've been so out of the loop with regards to the net it's well weird. Going to watch Chavhanga's tries from the weekend in a bit

If I never see an invoice again, I'll be so very happy. Then I remember we've got about 100 invoices due in tomorrow that have to be paid by Thurs morning. Oh joy....
Think I'll just be focusing on the sunshine from now on!

Not got a clue where I'm moving to biltong, wherever it is I can find a new job. Will probs be back home in West Wales for a bit (once I work up the nerve to hand in my notice at my job in May. I still think that's a bit of a crazy thing to do given the current job climate, but change is needed).
And no sunbathing for me! I would soon look like a lobster or one of these

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Mexico City Rugby Cantina
Because of spending so much time on here these past few months, just out of interest I decided to have a look at Ireland as a what if option if I ever decided to leave SA (Which I doubt very much, but for interest sake all the same) and I looked at the population sizes of the cities.
If I did decide to go for Ireland I would go for Limerick, not a huge population and becuase I live in Johannesburg now, I wouldn't want to move to another big city but rather enjoy the country side. Wiki does provide some interesting info on countries, so doing a little farming would be rather pleasant in the Irish countryside.
I have in the past looked at the North Island of New Zealand as well.
Both are equally beautiful places.
I still want to have a look at wales and Western australia. See if any of it is worth it.

Cheers all, in better nick now.
Just getting set to watch Facejacker in 20 mins. Only just got into his programmes (the blokey who does it all).
Watched Chavhanga's tries for us. They weren't as good as I thought. Well his first one was pretty good, but I think the Argus built them up a bit. Still who'd have thought trying to work somebody that fast into space would work. Genius that Darren Edwards. It probably would have taken me longer than 6 months or whatever it is to realise
See thee later.

Haha this story has also made the news this week.
' Sheikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain this week admitted that he will not be able to guarantee the safety of teams or spectators at this season's Bahrain GP, but he doesn't see this as a problem, claiming "there are no guarantees in this world. You could be anywhere, even Silverstone". '
