The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Cross Keys
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has ventured to Cross Keys, as their team is in the British and Irish Cup Final.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Richie McCaw, George Smith, Robert Nash,Billy Holland, John Muller, Greg Laidlaw, Aurelien Rougerie, Leo Cullen, Rhys Thomas and Iestyn Thomas.

16-12 at halftime. Munster A look the more likely to win as well. They start the second half with a man less for around four minutes or so. Crosskeys need to get hold of the ball and put some phases together.

Munster 16-12 Keys at ht. Munster 9 the stand out player. Keys loose head looks like he kniws what to do with a foaming tankard.

Aw! So disappointing for Keys to win the turnover, do the hard part, and then gift the try to O'Dea. Gutting for the Welsh side.

Luke O'Dea has just stripped the ball off Jevon Groves and scored. Poor by Groves really.
23-12. Keys are probably done now.

The Keys hooker Gerwyn Price seems a ready made replacement for Lloyd Burns at the Dragons. Leon Andrews also always impresses me, especially with his defence.

A couple scooped 15 grand on their final answer. Highest ever total on the show. They did it naming Marlon Brando movies as well.

Wow. Good win that. I like Pointless, but haven't watched it for a while.
Keys have lost the plot big time now. 2 in the bin. Losing 31-12.

Oh loved how the referee called a crooked feed by Munster A after about 72 mins of feeding from both sides.
Why didn't the Keys 22 pin his ears back then? Had a shot at the corner there.
Well done Munster A. FT now.

Time to ditch Provinces A from the B&I. Make it a club competition. Disqualify players who have played more than 3 or 5 Regional games.
Well done Munster A

The Cross Keys players will have benefited a lot more from that game than they would have playing a weaker side and winning.

Isn't this the first time an Irish Province has won?
Why don't you want them involved Glas?

Munster A have won before.
You could say Glas can the English sides too like Cornish Pirates, as they're pro. I think it's good for teams like Crosskeys to play these guys. Certain players now look like they could make the step up now (like the Keys hooker)

Evening all. Not happy I missed the B&I Cup final, I'd assumed it would kick off around sevenish.

Saw bits of the B&I final whilst sorting the kids out. looked an entertaining game and the Munster 9 showed some gas for his try.

Brain teaser;
Why do people say the Pro 12 is a devalued competition when teams rest (or are forced to rest) players but nobody says the Amlin or Heineken Cup are devalued when French teams put out weakened sides on the road?

I thought they said that on commentary. Anyway, who cares.
Some start by Toulon.
Nobody listens to me either, as I've been moaning about this silly kick off time all week Lucky

We can't Notch. He has to be in Lancasters plans. He is the form 7 in the NH at present.

I remember you saying something now, Rev!
Notch, I haven't seen Steffon Armitage play too often, but he's impressed me every time. He only has the odd England cap, doesn't he?

We'll hopefully be celebrating. It would KILL me to lose tomorrow. It would break my heart. I've woken up with butterflies in my stomach for three days running. It's all I can think about.

I'm pretty sure he's been capped and then discarded, but he's a much better player now.

Stag,
Any decision about tomorrow?
Even if you can't make it Munster will be represented. P3 wants to bring the flag she had with her at Thomond to Lansdowne tomorrow because the "flag pole" is a stick she picked up from Kia's garden in deepest Munster!

Ooooh my son-in-law just rang to finalise plans for tomorrow. I'm now like a kid waiting to be picked up to go to the seaside. Problem is I will have to wait 14 blydi hours.
Already got most of a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc in. Can I resist opening another?
Good question Rava.

Going to have to watch the Ulster game on a bit of a delay tomorrow as will be being Dadcabs at kick off time. Hopefully won't be too far behind and and fast forward the half time waffle.

I was about to say Toulon had taken a foothold in this game but Stade have just scored another try. Score Stade 26 Toulon 23. 20 minutes to go.

I wouldn't want to have to choose between them. Just be glad we were alive to see both play.
Jonny is a better tackler though

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Cross Keys
Jonny is a ferocious tackler and one of the players that cemented my interest in rugby. And what a gentleman. I told MrsP about meeting him as a starstruck teenager aged about 14 - so polite and genuinely likes talking to the fans.
There are some top blokes in rugby and he is one.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Cross Keys
I don't dislike anyone. I can understand Stags feelings I think. Big names bought in, but at the end of the day you have to look at the quality of the players and thats what I look at. Yes there is a mercenary aspect but strip that aside they are 15 talented guys just trying to win a Rugby game.
