Just back watching catch up at least week behind.
Jeez Andre taylor has form at fb for hurricanes. Defence and positioning non existent but what a runner. Top scorer in comp and could be a great impact sub.
Can't believe he is 24. Chiefs young th worth a stab also

Deon Fourie finally won back his stormers spot after injury.
Worst 40 mil I ever spent. Kid is dynamite though although I think maybe an impact player.
Most expensive player ever before whitelock lol

I'm bet he glad he missed the Ospreys game tbh.
Fourie unlucky he's at same club as Liebenburg who's a cracking hooker with top basics.

pooly you were right about london welsh - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/18038261
certain their ground is below the 10,000 seater stadium they require though - can see it being a Pirates v Bedford final though - anyone after a young English winger might want to look at Josh Bassett from Bedford, he'll be snapped up by an AP team this year.

Re: Homepage
That makes sense for them - surprised Bedford dont try something similar, not as though they dont have the links with Sarries/Saints.
Shame there arent any grounds that Pirates can do that with - they've been my favourite team in the Championship this year, especially like their fb and openside.
Would be amazed if AP teams dont snap up a few of those.

Ah that changes things then! BBC looked like they were saying the second leg was at Bedford, but their championship rugby coverage is woeful.
Think I'd prefer Falcons to stay up if Pirates cant - would have liked to have seen Bristol come up, but can't see them overcoming 20 odd points.

Personally think they should have alternate years when relegation is banned in Prem.
Gives Champ clubs chance to sort grounds out & Prem clubs chance to blood youngsters.

Re: Homepage
bedford and london welsh wouldnt last - if you look through their teams then their league positions are mainly due because of loans from AP clubs - I know Wasps had 4-5 players on loan at Welsh for most of the season! Pretty sure you cant loan players to other AP clubs.
not sure if the RFU do any parachute payments for clubs - but the amount they make you'd hope they'd do a bit more for clubs. Trouble seems to be when you get an owner like the Wasps one, who pretty much didnt give a damn about the club - compare them to Tigers, Saints and Quins and their owners have got such incredible business models/marketing plans - only thing Wasps did was the St George's game and then marketed the final game of the season well.
looks like we'll be moving to a new ground soon enough though! back near where we played originally!

I'd go for Gear and Jane with Dagg at 15. Guildford on the bench.

strettle was electric when he first burst on the scene , remember him carving wales up at twickenham , Could Manu end up there? We have so many good 13s and he'd be wasted at 12.
12.Barritt
13.Lowe
14.Manu
Also if i was Hansen i'd go with Guildford and Jane.

I don't think Manu would be wasted at 12 but think he would be on the wing.
If I was in charge I'd be looking at a Manu + Lowe/Joseph/Trinder/Daly midfield going into 2015

Re: Homepage
Strettle lost his spark that he had when first came on the international scene - just a defensive player now really and England need something more than that really. I always think its a shame we never gave JSD the proper chance.
Hopefully May will impress on tour and get given some game time there - hard grounds could be ideal for him!

Anyone wathcing the 7s? England looking alright - didnt know Dan Norton is faster than Usain Bolt over 20metres!
Sure I read somewhere that Tuilagi and Joseph were born on the same day - a good day for no13s! We've got so many good 13s around - is JJ now first choice at Irish?
I really like Tuilagi as a 13, he wont be moved by Tigers to 12 any time soon as they have Bowden and Allen there now and i'm not 100% he'd make it there - he really needs an intelligent 12 to play outside - need a guy like Greenwood to come through again!

he couldnt tackle though - apparently that's why he didnt get as many England caps as he could have.
it's a shame Twelvetrees hasnt come through as welll as he could have done - think he could have been a very good player.
by 2015 we are going to have a very good backline if we can sort out the problem at 12 - reckon Ford, JJ, Tuilagi, May, Foden and Ashton is pretty impressive alongside Youngs.
could JJ end up as a 12?

Trinder was elevated to the EPS in the 6Nations. Pretty sure they rate him. Is he not injured?
JJ not a 12. You lose his brillaint into out lines and his outside break.

DaveM wrote:I think Jonny May could have been left out because he was involved in a Gloucester side that basically quit. This raises questions about his character, which he'll have to answer next season, not to mention his form (which from what I saw looked pretty ropey).
When I saw May, Trinder and Sharples and Burns being interviewed on the rugby club they came across as pretty immature, and SL will be looking for strong characters. May not be the only Gloucester player who suffered because of their collapse. Who was prepared to step up and take responsibility?

May is going to be doing conditioning work with England fitness team. Quite a few young oneS are over summer.
He is still a bit thin. Look how sharples bulked out 2 summers ago.
May surprisingly strong in tackle and contact but it's all technique. He needs some element of size also

11. Kahui
15. Dagg
14. Jane
Think that's pretty much nailed on with Gear/Guildford fighting bench out. Hansen tends to like intelligent wingers.
May needs to nail position I think. Basics not there at FB yet (although what a counter attacker) and I've seen him have defensive issues on wing. Have to remember its pretty much his breakthrough season and he's still learning.
Clever move not getting players like Ford and May involved too soon and allowing them the summer to develop. Only going to produce better players.

We have some great talent in the outside backs. I really like the look of Ross Chisholm at Quins. His try v Gloucester was a great one and he looks to be a intelligent player.

Marler is such a wind up merchant, cheeky forearm on PDJ then he bites back (and misses lol)
Saints scrum much miles better with PDJ/Waller on, can actually hold their own ball now! Marler has been quality.

If Ford sorts out his tackling (think he only missed one today) and can get his kicking percentages up, which he will do then I think England might have finally unearthed a potential world beater in the 10 shirt.
His game management is already better than Floods!

Thing I like about him is that so far this is all on his natural ability, timing, game management, passing and line breaking.
If Tigers are smart with him they'll bring in a top class kicking coach for him over the summer and from the sounds of it he's got a conditioning course to get through so will be bulkier next year defensively.
Saracens really struggle when teams match them physically, they have zero creativity in midfield and its really causing them trouble - when Matt Stevens makes more yards than both your midfield you know you have issues!
