The Dew Drop Inn Virtual HEC Final Rugby Pub, Twickenham
First topic message reminder :
Chin chin and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has arrived in London this week for the Heineken Cup final so has stocked up on cucumber sandwiches ( - KRD ) and Pimms.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Ruan Pienaar, Stephen Ferris, Jonathon Sexton, Rob Kearney and Jonny Wilkinson (the five nominees for the ERC Player of the Year award), Nigel Owens the HEC final referee or Adam Powell (captain of Llanelli RFC who are playing Ponty in the Welsh club final on Friday). The CCTV snaps of Prop_Lyd and the other Cardiff Saracens players on tour in Croatia are fair game though.

Right you lot up in Llundain, enjoy yourselves. The game will be a cracker, I can feel it (well intense at least). May the best team win by skill and endeavour and may Nigel have a stormer. BUT, remember, you are Ambassadors of this Pub at ALL times. Carry on.

Morning all. Some good pints over Twickenham way last night, Penfro and I watched the Welsh final as the pub didn't have Sky! Sounds like we didn't miss much.
Crusaders are killing the Blues this morning, 24-0 just before half time, 4 tries already. Utter dominance at scrum and lineout.

Morning all, just getting the auld fellas up - only minor damage at this point, Gib banished from the room for snoring too much - strait back on the else their tolerance will drop. Let's hope Hoog is less grumpy this morning! Classic game of running rugby last nite, an absolute try-fest, nearly Scarlets- worthy

6 Ulster Rugby "Flegs" flying in the P garden this morning!
Not at all sure where or when we will be watching/following.
If we finish very late at the athletics I'm not sure I will want to or be able to avoid updates!
SUFTUM!!!!
Love all my Leinstermen buddies too though!

Morning all, Crusaders V Blues game is boring as feic. Nobody wants to see a game that one sided. Blues got a nice try there but their defending has been poor even by S15 standards.
Best of luck to Ireland today, I am edging closer to the Red Hand.

We haven't tried anything yet. We wanted to give him maximum time to recover.
Going to go and get him warmed up really well and go through all his hurdle drills and if he seems fine we will just have to pray that he doesn't hurt himself!
This is going to be a very nervous day on the sporting front for the Ps!!
I may need a wee lie down later.

Best of luck to the wee fella MrsP, these are the days you remember! Great win for Cork City again last night, 4-2 win. For 10 quid, 6 goals is good value. Going to be a great day of sport.
Also congrats to Irish Boxing hero Katie Taylor who won her 4th successive World title. She is a great medal shout for London. She was also on the irish Women's Soccer Team at one stage, I think. Well done Katie!

Well Red=Cork, Blue=Leinster=Dublin=Langers. You can see I spent hours mulling over the mathematical complications of this
Two things, is it just me or do these two look the bop off each other?
Cork City's Daryl Horgan on the top and Damien Duffdown below (If you saw Horgan's play you would think he is Duff, phenomenal talent)

Won't be on much today and will not see the game live as will not be home in time so am going to try to avoid the result until I watch it this evening.
Hope everyone has a grand day whatever the outcome, and the that the best team wins (Ulster obviously )

Morning all. The day.is upon us!
Best of luck and goodwill to all the Leinster/Ulster regs, hope you.have a grand day out whatever the outcome. Hope to be back from work in time to catch it live.
I have no favourite, it would be nice for Leinster to cement their position as Europes best, bubut it would be equally as nice for Ulster to see their great competition performances come to fruition as Champions of this years tournament.
May the best team win.

Good luck to your boy by the way MrsP.
I see many seem to be "SUFTUM" today. Personally, I'll be SDFTB (Sitting Down For Tommy Bowe) - he's doing some punditry on the radio before and after the game

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual HEC Final Rugby Pub, Twickenham
So, the big day has arrived. 2 days drinking with this lot and I've not much left in the tank. But I'm ready to take on the last leg with my province. Its been a great gig with the lads so far. I was persuaded to sleep on the settee, so Chef, Rava and Penfro could get a decent night's sleep.
Ready for the off now. Enjoy the day and game regs.
X,
Gibbo.

Can't focking wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Munster aren't even playing. Congrats to the Sprinter P, you have too much talent there MrsP! Also had a very interesting chat with Dave Ryan today, formerly of Munster, playing in Italy now. Some very good work with our underage here and also on general scrum play.
