The Dew Drop Inn Virtual HEC Final Rugby Pub, Twickenham
First topic message reminder :
Chin chin and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has arrived in London this week for the Heineken Cup final so has stocked up on cucumber sandwiches ( - KRD ) and Pimms.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Ruan Pienaar, Stephen Ferris, Jonathon Sexton, Rob Kearney and Jonny Wilkinson (the five nominees for the ERC Player of the Year award), Nigel Owens the HEC final referee or Adam Powell (captain of Llanelli RFC who are playing Ponty in the Welsh club final on Friday). The CCTV snaps of Prop_Lyd and the other Cardiff Saracens players on tour in Croatia are fair game though.

Ah Paul McCartney wrote great bass songs. Maxwells silver hammer is cracking!
Amanda bought me a set of really good headphones for my birthday last week, the Beachboys have never sounded so good, so clear, so complicated. Wilson was a genius!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual HEC Final Rugby Pub, Twickenham
Some netballers in NZ have been watching their rugby, using a line-out lift to block a goal http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/opinion/6961558/Questions-need-to-be-raised-on-Mystics-tactics
Hmmm, might have to try that, our Goal Defence is fairly light

Apparently there's no rule against it.
It's not uncommon for one defender to hang onto the back of the other's shirt to help them not fall over when really leaning in, so I guess this is just an extension (literally!). You'd have to really get your timing right on the jump/lift though.

I'm watching "Classic 90" State of Origin now with the late Rex Mossop commentating. Seems like yesterday watching Les Kiss, O'Connor, ET, Fatty, Blocker, "Bouncing Benny", Walters bros., etc playing.

Mick, I hope you nailed that interview.
Has MBTGOG never returned to 606 or is he simply under a new name?

I was Pete.
However I spent about 98% of my time getting terrorised by Indian posters* on the cricket boards. Getting hammered and hammering back constantly for about 3 years. It was complete hell and a larf all in one. Outnumbered 50:1 at times, trying to defend Australia from all sorts of hilarious comments - some true; some way out. It got too much before, during and after every big match and there'd be a flurry of bans when things got too heated. It got a bit nasty right near the end but then it all evaporated when the Beeb flicked off the switch. I've noticed some of them are on other sites and some are on here too.
*There were more nice Indian and posters too I might add and they had their own ongoing conversation with the Pakistanis. There were also English, Kiwi and SA posters... mostly a great bunch of people. Biltong was there... so he always added some balance.

Ah well I'm sure you've realised where all the good folk are. Mind you I'm sure it's fun to wind up some of those old foes. Perhaps you should have a special birthday arguement with one of them
MrsP is Staggy or Munsty ever going to stay put, ant's in their pants I believe. It's good to hear there are still adventures going on with them. I am always jealous of those two.

Cheers PJ... enjoy the sun.
All this in depth analysis pre Origin is blowin' ma brain. Both sides have loads of talented players... it's a question of wanting it, whoever cracks first or takes a lucky break and turns it into gold. Some of those plays from Qld in past years were so well executed it made the NSW defense look like complete suckers.
Being 6 series in a row down, I'm quietly optimistic there's still a chance of an upset.

Actually overall, since around the 1890s - it's still something like 210-110 in favour of NSW.
Only since 1980 is it 49-42 to Qld.

Just took a look at the 'Haka' thread. I take it that the mods have given anotherworldofpain the benefit of the doubt? If thats the case then why is this poster still being hounded. Getting really sick of this. Loads of people i have sent here have left because they are being questioned about who they are.
The last thing this site needs is to have posters hound new posters away.

Here here.
I dont care if that fella is Grey Ghost. He doesnt post like he did.
If he is having a laugh thinking he has fooled us then well and good but he isn't getting anyone angry. No big deal.
Actually I have it on good information that one poster is actually Sparky the old stuffed bear that is the Ulster mascot!! Have a guess who after all his claims at being the inside man at Ulster.

Its just really ticked me off that i have asked posters to come here and yet when they do they get harassed as being TGG by the same few posters and then end up leaving.
This site will go down hill if this continues. I thought that it was put to rest which is why i recommended people to join again from other forums.
