Leinster Hype?
First topic message reminder :
So, do we believe it or not? Alot of talk about them being the best Heiniken Cup side ever and even being right up there with the best Southern Hemisphere clubs. I have also read that they would be able to match international sides. Are people getting carried away? I thought Ulster were very dissapointing. Clermont would have beaten them comfortably.
But can we forget about the other great Heiniken Cup teams? Leicester? Wasps? Toulouse? Leinster are having their moment now but Im not so sure they beat those previous great teams.....

Luckless, I'm massively impressed. I was listening to the Captain back in the early 70's as a pimply teenager/aspiring hippy so how a 33-y-o (means u were born in 1978) got into the Captain I don't know. Whatever, u're a man of musical taste.

The production on it just makes the rhythm section so punchy. The drumming on 'Electricity' is awesome.

I had a mis-spent youth, Brenno. I may have smoked a jazz cigarette or two.

Re: Leinster Hype?
Well *cough* what happened to this supposedly best NH club side of all time at the weekend?
They were demolished up front and largely outplayed on their own ground. Beatable after all it seems!

No rugby team is unbeatable and no one said they are. What they are, however, are European Champions and what I have, on my new Leinster top, are 3 yellow stars and in my entertainment system, I will soon have 3 winners DVDs.

What a complete load of rubbish. They weren't outplayed at all! For anyone who actually watched it, it was a very tight contest.

Re: Leinster Hype?
A genuine question here. Why was the match played at Leinsters home ground and not at a neutral venue?
Or was it a neutral venue that Leinster use as well sometimes? (Like Quins will use Twickenham for a couple of games).

Re: Leinster Hype?
Clermont could make similar claims about the semi final, it was very close and Barnes bottled refereeing it when Clermont was camped on the try line in the last five minutes. 'Dems de breaks' as a famous Hiberno-Dutch poet once said.
