The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Antananarivo Arms, Madagascar
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Antananarivo Arms Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made it's way to Madagascar, where 35,000 raucous fans recently watched the home side upset Namibia in a 110-point thriller.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of the Madagascan team war dance, Japan/NRL-bound Sonny-Bill Williams, Bradley Wiggins and the prematurely-retired Mark Boucher above the bar.

Hello all.
Watching Warrington v Huddersfield in the rugby league. Getting an idea of the stadium I shall be watching Sale play in next season. Looks a much better pitch than Edgely Park.

Alright Stag/Willy,
Hound, I wouldn't be surprised. At lease they'll now have some room to pass the ball around.

I wasnt on for a few days Rory. No biggie just was fairly busy.
I spent Saturday refereeing in the Pig and Porter. Was jaded tired afterwards. Didnt help that I did serious drinking until the wee hours on Friday night.

Amazing Spiderman gets a thumbs up for me. Props to the bro for getting free passes too. Have to pay him back ahead of The Dark Knight Rises next week. Batman Begins was watched last week with a few lads. The Dark Knight must be watched before Friday
Also Emma Stone. Schwing suffices. There's movies where she looks hotter but she looks stunning in this.

Do you know what's interesting, some Welsh people give out about Alain Rolland's French Connections, Rolland's middle name is Pierre.
There is a cyclist in the TDF by the name of Pierre Rolland cycling for the French. Perhaps the Welsh suspicions were right......
Idiots at the TDF scattering tacks, Wiggins and other cyclists deserve credit for slowing down.

Why do you say that? Maybe you are asking the wrong question? Or in the wrong way?
Is that too many questions for you daahling?
Within a female's indirect response to your question, is the answer to your question. She wants you to ask her more questions, so she can suss you out. In your questions, lies her answers.
It's a primitive and deadly species. Even the dumb ones.
Handle them with care.
No charge.
P.S. If you were asking her where the loo was, disregard all the above.

Some rap is good. NWA and Snoop Dogg are alright to listen to. Some good lyrics and NWA really talks about what a shoite place Compton was and a bit about police brutality.
Great 30 for 30 documentary on the relationship betwen NWA and an LA football team. Good stuff.
My newly immigrated cousins were at the Hurricanes game the other day. Waxing lyrical about it. It's on Youtube must have a sconce.

Childish Gambino is a bit of an odd case Notch. You listen to any of hsi stuff? It's kind of a weird hybrid of rap/techno. Not bad to listen to though!

I like commercial big-hitters like Eminem and Ice T as well. But a lot of mainstream hip-hop nowadays feels very bland and safe. Stick on some something like "Fear of A Black Planet", its streets ahead. lyrically and musically.

I really like Mos Def, have to say.
Maybe this is a generation-gap thang. I think Rap is Pap. Like Punk (my era) All of it. So, I'll stay out of it.
Otherwise, I'll start sounding like my Old Man - dissing the Stones, Troggs and Captain Beefheart.
Christ!

Notch just hit the big ten. Well done. Gibbo, there's more bad rap than good. Some lyrics are quite hard hitting and have meaning. Others are just rubbish.
One of my fav rap gorups are Outkast. A lot of what they do isn't rap but they do some good stuff alright.

Well, I'd say about 5000 of them are trying to politely (or not so politely) tell certain posters on threads on the Irish threads that they are talking bollox. I remember the other 50% fondly

I've met a few guys recently who are part of the Irish hip hop scene. They aren't white though and you can see the difference in both the quality of their raps and also their performances.

For a hambone thirty something father in an office job to like rap is either delusion or just sad. Street I ain't. I can't listen to Radio 1 any more. R n B and dance music get on my pip as well.

Bore da pawb / good morning all, another beautiful start to the week here.
I disagree with that, Glas. For him to think and pretend he's from 'the hood' is sad, but there's nothing at all to stop him liking rap music.

I like R&B. A mate of mine was raving about an R&B night in a pub in Dublin and for ages I flat refused to go because I thought R&B was absolute crap. But I went and I was wrong, it was fantastic. Now, it was a load of fellas playing Rory Gallagher songs, so although I still dislike the genre of music that some people call R&B, I like the old version of it that had guitar solos and such.
